In Sonic there is pendulum like platforms, how would you make these without the platform you stand on changing angle as it swings the most success I have had is with two wobble bolts one for the chain and one for the platform, but this is still not good enough or perhaps I'm going about it the wrong way? Any help is much appreciated cheers!

I don't know the platforms you're referring to. A picture or video would help. But if the general idea is a platform on a pendulum, where the platform itself always stays horizontal, you would use two wobble bolts with the exact same settings, one of them set to "backwards". You will also want to connect your platform to the rotating axle by a rod, not a winch.

Cheers for the advice, much appreciated! when I said Chain I didn't mean winch I meant a chain I made from material, you know them pendulums in Sonic, their made from like a ball chain and a platform, you find them in Marble Zone

top wobble bolt rotates 180 degrees clockwise while bottom wobble bolt moves 180 degrees counter clockwise. if they move the wrong way change direction, adjust rotation location (memory is b0rked cant find right name)

no, that wont work since the platform with the bolt will rotate, and shouldnt if you want your sackboy to stand on it.

Cheers for the help guys, the two wobble bolts idea worked a charm! One other thing though, I've made the pendulum but how about the platform's that rotate all the way round. Any Ideas?

you mean a 360 pendellum? you would do the same, but with motorbolts. if you want it to go both ways, you can also set wobble bolts to a 360 rotation. again, one motor/wobble counterclockwise, the other clockwise.

If you mean to do a full loop I would imagine you just need to change the rotation on both wobble bolts to 360 degrees ? I don't know much about Sonic so don't know what the platforms in that are like.

np, @ mrvista, You should really play the old sega genesys sonic games though, It was one of the fastest platformers of that time. (together with "sparkster, rocketknight" heres a small clip of level 2 of sonic 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_y-fmhhXn-A as you can hear, sonic had some of the best soundtracks of that time, as a mather of fact even Michael Jackson (r.i.p.) worked on the soundtrack of sonic 3! try sonic 2, sonic 3, sonic 3 & knuckles (genesys) and sonic adventure (dreamcast) as those where the best sonic games. After that.. things went down the drain trough a gassstation toilet.
