Gravity contol

How many people have wanted to walk on the ceiling? If only there was a object that could change gravity, like which way you fall, or if you jump higher. Come on Mm, make it so. | 2010-01-24 19:19:00 Author: Unknown User |
I would love that! And you can make a moon or summin and walk on the surface around and around! Be cool for Mario Galaxy gameplay! | 2010-01-24 19:24:00 Author: Pantyer2 Posts: 652 |
Insead of a gravity changing device they could simply make magnets. Just dots that you could set strength, range, etc... but also change the shape, round to be able to walk 360' around a circular object like mario galaxy, or flat ones to walk up walls, or on the celing. This requires that sackboy always has magnetic properties, but you could just put a switch on the bigger magnet if you didnt want it to work yet. This also gives me an idea for a 3 way button, made by MM, not a logic one, but one which has 3 contacts and you could connect the series of magnets to one of the 3 contacts, so u could walk on the ceiling, jump on the switch and it would activate the wall magnet and deactivate the ceiling, hit again and it maybe goes to the other wall, and again back to the ceiling. Maybe be able to put smaller magnets on objects so u could make it orbit around the planet/circular magnet, if you threw it. Just my ideas, thanx :3 | 2010-01-24 19:34:00 Author: Unknown User |
Then one could make a Sonic 3 & Knuckles Death Egg level! :O | 2010-01-24 19:49:00 Author: FuzzballFox Posts: 217 |
i'd love this, It has so much potential. Make sackboy able to run up walls/upsidedown .etc = Sonic levels, high jumping = Mario galaxy. Needs to be able to be activated/deactivated with switches | 2010-01-24 20:34:00 Author: Matimoo Posts: 1027 |
This would be insane. Especially for maybe a moon level or anything in low-grav enviroments. | 2010-01-25 16:42:00 Author: Welder666 Posts: 6 |
Come on MM - Cosmos DLC please. | 2010-01-25 17:09:00 Author: BasketSnake Posts: 2391 |
Star Wars DLC surely. Sackboys already look like shaven Ewoks anyway. | 2010-01-25 17:13:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |
I've already suggested gravity as a global property in "Whole Lot of Stuff" Thread as well magnets like MangoTangoFox said and a bunch of other things. | 2010-01-26 02:23:00 Author: SR20DETDOG Posts: 2431 |
I'd like it. But I think it may be too advanced (you'd have to change the distance between the platforms you walk on depending on the gravity, it might be too exact). | 2010-01-26 17:28:00 Author: kirbyman62 Posts: 1893 |
or maybe it wouldn't maybe normal gravity would be now and you could change it via a switch | 2010-01-26 18:18:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |
that would be cool... and i agree with the magnet idea too. | 2010-01-26 19:01:00 Author: vergildmcking Posts: 190 |
I concur! I really think that a magnetism/gravity pack would be an obvious choice for the third big DLC pack. A Global Gravity Tool would basically just give us the abillity to tune the numbers allready running the physics simulations in the game. It should be pretty simple for MM to implement... Magnetism would probable require a bit more of MM since every excisting objects (and metallic piece of clothing) would have to have their magnetic properties deffined. But I guess (and hope) it is doable. These additions could enable both Sonic and Mario levels as mentioned, but as Sonic currently isn't affiliated with any one console - and due to licensing reasons, a Sonic pack would perhaps be the best choice? The different themed levels, solid platforming and awesome boss battles of the first 3 (3.5?) Sonic games would be a perfect fit for LBP. And Sonic, Knuckles, Tales and Dr. Eggman/Robotnik could also make very cool DLC costume packs (Sonic's boots and Dr. Eggmans moustache anyone?). They could make this DLC launch a week or two before the newly announced Sonic 4? - Wishfull thinking I know ^^ Offtopic: Speedboots would also make a logic powerup in such DLC. | 2010-02-04 18:18:00 Author: Slaeden-Bob Posts: 605 |
