Hi there! Please check out my newest "Next Stop, Big City" ! Here's some screenshots. http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=11979 http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=11978 http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=11977 http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=11976 http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=11975 http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=11974 http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=11973 Here's a VIDEO by Crashdance22 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJUoqAMiSmo&fmt=22 (Thanks a ton!!) There's lots of hidden content. One hidden easter egg triggers a chain of events. Just remember; if you didn't see a crashed UFO and a dead alien, then you haven't done everything... ----UPDATES---- I've added several things since day 1: -Improved logic. -Hidden prizes. -Graphic tweaks. -You can now play with Sparkles! -The medicated chickens finally calm down. | 2010-01-24 11:46:00 Author: DrunkenFist_Lee Posts: 172 |
Oooooohhhh... a new Drunkenfist_lee production! Wow, playing this was a real treat. I played this with my son watching and we were both about on the floor laughing by the end of it - this level gets my vote for funniest content. Absolutely charming from beginning to end.... and I definately need to play it again because I KNOW I missed things! From the very beginning the bus breaking down, and the dude saying "Check this move out!" and promptly dropping to the ground and break dancing... fantastic stuff! Trespassing and chasing a girl into her room.... man, I couldn't believe you thought of all this great content. And the beauty is, this level is ALL about content. There are some cute mini-games in there but the brilliance comes from the way you directed the towns people. When the pageant started.... well, lets just say I about wet myself. + Giving chickens their medicine + Pig jumping + Getting chased by a sad, ugly, and angry farm animal + FANTASTIC use of the 3D glitch. I know MisterVista doesn't like it, but I think he should check this one out - I don't think this level would have been the same without being surrounded by vast farmlands. 5 stars and a heart! I'm going to go in and play this many more times to make sure I've seen everything. Another awesome level! If you get a chance, I'd love you to check out "Sea Dragon"... I'm battling through shark attack levels right now and could use all the help I can get.... EDIT: Just played through it again, and you are absolutely right in your opening post.... there are many things that if you don't do, you simply haven't seen the level - cow turd point bubbles.... awesome! UFO's - VERY funny! | 2010-01-24 12:47:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Finally another one from you, I thought you had left the community. I'll check it out asap, your levels are great! | 2010-01-24 17:48:00 Author: TheFirstAvenger Posts: 787 |
Hey!! Good to see you're still around! And what a level you just pulled off there! This reeks excellence through and through and it's really beautiful. I'm been laughing out loud multiple times actually. You grabbed me from beginning to end! Pros: -Superb use of the background glitch. -Great scenery and characters, it's instantly charming. -Good mini-games -The aliens on the roof -- hilarious -Chicken cannon!! -The beaty pageant scene -- hilarious Cons: -It took me AGES to be able to grab the cat up there jumping from the pigs. The timing can only be achieve hazardeously. What frustrated me is when you land on the same platform as the exploding cat but not the right side. I would suggest it's possible to complete the task when you land there really. -Sometimes you can't go back in the level. Probably for a reason. I wonder if that could have been avoided without damaging the experience. -I succeeded into bringing the bail of hay on the other side of the red line by walking/running on top of it but I didn't see a reward Seriously, this is a truly impressive level with a nice adventure feel. I've been laughing alot of times and it completely charmed me in overall. GREAT WORK. This is my favorite level since a while. :star::star::star::star::star: + heart | 2010-01-24 18:21:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
This was without a doubt the best level I played today. I don't have any constructive criticism, is was just all around brilliant. | 2010-01-24 18:37:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |
-I succeeded into bringing the bail of hay on the other side of the red line by walking/running on top of it but I didn't see a reward If you make sure you are on top of it before it passes the first line and stay on top of it through the 2nd line you do get a prize.... actually a really interesting prize. Worked for me.... not sure what went wrong. | 2010-01-24 18:49:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
oh it may be because it's a one time thing though. I took me a couple of tries. | 2010-01-24 20:10:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
Thanks for the great feedback! Regarding the cat (?), haha, that's actually the remnants of an abandoned puzzle I was going to do. Originally, there was going to be a hidden jetpack & a section in the sky. While up there, you'd have been able to grab Sparkles and bring it back down. I wanted it to explode if you dropped it from too high (& the girl would have run off crying), but the bomb blows away the ground all the way into the background & just looked bad. Plus I ditched the jetpack content. I'll continue to update the lvl for the next 7 days, so I'll probably have it shoot out a prize orb or something if you make it up there... Sorry you didn't get anything, haha. Those pigs are a bit unpredictable. Regarding backtracking, I had to block the player from doing so a couple of times to prevent all the crazy scripting from getting screwed up. Some of the level logic is pretty insane. Not sure what happened with the hay.. I've seen that bug before, but it usually works for me. There's sensors all over the ground there (which is also a hill), so it's possible you were on a low side going up and barely triggered a sensor? The logic resets itself if you go back before the starting line, so you can always try again. (btw, 2 players always screwed that puzzle up, so if you play multiplayer that hay's not even there.) Anyways thanks again for the feedback! | 2010-01-25 03:14:00 Author: DrunkenFist_Lee Posts: 172 |
The UFO content is a 3 part thing. If you find it, it'll trigger it's appearance at the cannon. If you shoot it, It'll spawn the crash site. I love throwing bonus content into all my levels, but most of it goes unseen I think. | 2010-01-25 03:25:00 Author: DrunkenFist_Lee Posts: 172 |
Loved the level, the use of the 3D glitch was brilliant, it was both simple and effective. And once again your talent for creating fantastic characters shined through, seriously what is your secret? Those cardboard cut-outs are near perfection! Anyways, playing the level was a blast, I laughed and had fun overall. I did not find the UFO part but I'll sure be back to try and find it. 5 Stared and a Heart. | 2010-01-25 03:59:00 Author: TheFirstAvenger Posts: 787 |
If you like the cutout characters, check back in a month or two (?). I'm in the middle of creating a 'character pack' level. All it's going to be is 100 little cutout characters in different outfits with various expressions. A gift to the community for anybody wanting to add characters to their level who doesn't want to go through the tedious process of making them.. (very tedious indeed, haha) | 2010-01-25 06:08:00 Author: DrunkenFist_Lee Posts: 172 |
That type of level will definitely help many in the community, Its a great idea! I've struggled quite a bit in creating cut-outs, do you mainly use the Corner Editor? | 2010-01-25 06:45:00 Author: TheFirstAvenger Posts: 787 |
I started out using the corner editor, but then I was abducted by shaolin monks who brought me to the top of a mysterious mountain, where I was trained in secret arts.. Involving black magic and moonshine (the drink, of course).. Actually, through the act of making so many of these cutouts I figured out a better & more precise way of shaping. It's kind of hard to explain, but I make a long & skinny triangle (like a needle), and copy the shape & cut with the point of it along the outline of the shape I want to make. Then I use the corner editor to delete off all the 'crust'... I can get much more precise shaping this way. | 2010-01-25 07:19:00 Author: DrunkenFist_Lee Posts: 172 |
I was playing this AGAIN last night and ran into a minor issue - I thought I was supposed to somehow do something with the cat, so I used the third pig to jump all the way over the windmill and land on the cat. The cat exploded, I died, and the windmill fell to the left and broke the first pig... so the level was totally broken. I couldn't bounce on the first pig because the material that pushes you up was broken off. Maybe either stop the cat from exploding, or trigger a checkpoint to the right of the pig area when blowing it up. I'm not sure how many will attempt to jump onto the cat, but it can be done..... | 2010-01-25 17:37:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
LOL I did. But looks like I fell on the right side of the pigs | 2010-01-25 20:08:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
Good to know about the wind vane falling. It's funny, I didn't think people would be able to get over that! Triple Tremelo blew up the top of it last night & uploaded a pic. Pretty funny. Looks like it breaks in unpredictable ways. I'll trigger that checkpoint if you make it up there, with the next update. Also, Ranger Zero, I encountered a bug with my hay puzzle. Looks like SOMEHOW, that puzzle can randomly break & won't reset? I have no idea what causes it & it's only happened once for me so far.. So I'll be taking a closer look at that, as well. | 2010-01-25 22:37:00 Author: DrunkenFist_Lee Posts: 172 |
Actually if you line it up right you can clear the weather vane, grab Sparkles as you fall, then slam him on the girl. lol A good laugh indeed. It took a chunk out of the background like you said but it was worth it for the hysterical laughter that followed. On cut-outs: Having done cut-outs myself they are quite an annoyance, they do look very cool though. I gave up on my commissions and just put 'em in gallery for whoever wanted them. The Cut-outs in your level were perfect for the context. I loved that rocking hillbilly, best moves I've ever seen! lol | 2010-01-25 22:52:00 Author: 4wheel Posts: 511 |

Loved the beuty pagent area, a very funny surprise at the end! | 2010-01-26 14:23:00 Author: FlipMeister Posts: 631 |
I played it this morning, and have to echo what everyone else says, its was awesome from start to finish. Nothing bad to say other than after reading the thread I sort of new what to look for in the level. It didnt make it any less enjoyable though. Nice use of the layer glitch throughout, I think its an awesome tool when used in this capacity, it really gave depth to the level and it just wouldnt have been the same without it. The minigames were great fun, zany and wacky for sure, but they raised more than a few laughs. And the end was simply brilliant. ***** and hearted | 2010-01-26 15:28:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |
This level is so good in so many ways!! + Excellent use of the layer glitch + You tickled the funnybone in ways I could never imagine, I think I'm in love with you... + Good visuals + Excellent and varied gameplay - None that I can think of Overall, a brilliant showcase of your wit and creative skills. The beauty pagent and the Chicken cannon were the higlights for me. 5 stars and a heart, very well done!! | 2010-01-26 19:02:00 Author: Zwollie Posts: 2173 |
First things first: WOW! This is one of the best levels I have played for a long time! I laughed alot, and enjoyed myself thoroughly - it was genius, the randomness of it! Very good, level looked amazing, gameplay was great! Now... just to find that easter egg! I have no complaints for the level, as far as I was concerned it was near perfect. I especially liked that bit at the end where the llama from outer space is chasing you, and you're just in a slow moving tractor! Nice work! If you wanna F4F, links in my sig =) | 2010-01-26 20:33:00 Author: standby250 Posts: 1113 |
Sooo funny. I wish there were more levels that made me laugh like this. And yes, your cut-outs were a great bunch of characters, its not often the cardboard sacks give off a great deal of personality, but here they just look so fantastic! | 2010-01-26 21:18:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |
A big thanks to everybody! It's positive feedback like this from my peers which makes all the hard work really pay off! Smiley-Face | 2010-01-26 22:50:00 Author: DrunkenFist_Lee Posts: 172 |
Laughed so hard I had a couple of tears down my cheeks at the ending. | 2010-01-26 23:16:00 Author: BasketSnake Posts: 2391 |
Hm... I just aced the level, got 7th on the scoreboard, rolled the hay, jumped out the window, stickered the chickens, got the cat to say "bonjour," shot the crazy chicken guy, and still no UFO's. What am I doing wrong?? Lol. It should be noted that I stickered two of the chickens before the magic mouths popped up. Nothing happened when I did. | 2010-01-27 00:04:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
I just rolled the hay, jumped out the window, stickered the chickens, got the cat to say "bonjour," shot the crazy chicken guy, and still no UFO's. Only on LittlebigPlanet : ) Go on top of the roof of the house.... | 2010-01-27 00:45:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |
Added a little extra at the scoreboard if you get killed during the chase.. Something.. Beautiful.. | 2010-01-27 03:47:00 Author: DrunkenFist_Lee Posts: 172 |

I played this last night. This level was UNBELIEVABLE! Great job, as usual! ^_^ | 2010-01-28 13:49:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
I've played this thing three times now and I still lmao every time! I've always loved your sense of humor but this time it's just so over the top it's genius. Oh sure, level looks great - 3d glich works amazingly well for what you've got going on here and you've struck an excellent balance of stylized simplicity and details - just perfect - BUT the story, humor and replay are what makes this level shine for me. + The guitar guy - brilliant and hilarious + Of all the times we've broken and entered into a house in LBP levels - I believe yours is the first guy to tell me to "Get Out" + Dialogue of the hics is perfection... I live in Wisconsin - trust me - it's perfect. + Medicating chickens..... wow + The Hitchcockian camera cut to the pigs..... spit take of whatever I was drinking at the time funny. + Sparkles - lol + "Bonjour" - epic lol + Chicken gun effects (lights and liquified chickens - eww) brilliant along with the nut job that made the thing. Loved it. + Beauty pagent - I don't have words for how funny this is. + slow tractor ftw I've yet to encounter the aliens... but I REALLY want to so I'll be back. So glad your back in create mode. The LittleBigPlanet just isn't as funny without you around. 5 stars & hearted and I'll be back to get them aliens.... yessireee I wills! | 2010-01-28 21:18:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
Wow! Stunning level, extremely detailed, fantastic use of the 3D glitch and amazing animals and lanscapes. Had me in stiches the whole way through. I loved the characters and all the secret areas and tasks they gave you. The breakdancing guy at the beggining was brilliant. 5 stars and a heart. For F4F if you could check out my 'The Crate Escape' level that would be great thanks. SP | 2010-01-28 21:36:00 Author: Cpt_Sainsburys Posts: 187 |
Somebody just posted on my level "ur level did somting to my sackboy and now his mouth keeps opening and closing" I just wanted to document that. <giggle... giggle...> | 2010-01-29 14:22:00 Author: DrunkenFist_Lee Posts: 172 |
Just played this and I loved it, the bright colours, use of the 3D glitch and the various characters were simply brilliant especially Bart. I don't think I have ever lol'd so much at a lbp level as I have this one. Shame Bart killed me as I am yet to see those aliens. However I did spend about 10 minutes just bouncing on them pigs, not trying to get the cat I just found the whole idea of boucning on pigs to be a fun one and think someone should make a mini game out of it. Still the only downsides were there may have been a tad too much text and the with the 3D glitch on I couldn't really tell if I was as far forward or as far back as I could actually go and got frustrated when I could not go through doors only to realise that the reason that was is because it was on a layer I had no access to. Still apart from that it was an amazing level | 2010-01-29 17:05:00 Author: cthulhu82 Posts: 211 |
Ah, this was a great! I spend a very good time playing this! Nice visuals, great humor, nice gameplay elements ( chicken cannon...) in this crazy and refreshing level! Really well done! :star::star::star::star::star: + heart | 2010-01-29 23:07:00 Author: dajdaj03 Posts: 1486 |
I have a video in the works for this, it'll be ready soon. Care to feature it Drunkenfist? | 2010-01-29 23:38:00 Author: Unknown User |
Cool-ness... | 2010-01-30 04:33:00 Author: DrunkenFist_Lee Posts: 172 |
I tried last night this level, and I was very enthusiastic... PRO I really enjoyed the graphic style cartoon. The graphics are also very clean as I like it is fantastically funny and hilarous the design of the characters is truly original and well done Great and massive Use of the 3dglitch CON I Have no Found Bugs and everithing went well. it is a level that define in a word:intelligent! it is fun and immediate immediately beginning it is a level that knows how to involve any kind of player, from child to adult, but without ever entering into banality I congratulate to you because you are a very good and intelligent creator. I would be honored if you tried my new level called “Quetzcoatl rebirth” or the previous "little big adventure in the 3d world of the pumpkins"....you can found it in the level showcase. Thank you see you in LBP | 2010-01-30 09:48:00 Author: pirmaut Posts: 99 |
dude quality use of the 50 layer glitch, im actually in your level right now. crazy props to you, its creators like you thats keep the heart of lbp pumping. keep up the good work. | 2010-01-30 10:18:00 Author: Unknown User |
Thanks for your kind words! I will definately check your levels out. ---------- Version 1.05 I finally added content with Sparkles!! No points or anything, but good for some laughs.. Also, I completely redid the logic for the chicken minigame. I wasn't very effecient 1st time around with that & now the timing (and reward) is better. I redesigned the pill sticker as well.. So if anybody is replaying, make sure to pick up the new sticker. There's still a couple things I'd like to add, so if you're curious, check back in a day or so. | 2010-01-30 10:26:00 Author: DrunkenFist_Lee Posts: 172 |
This turned out to be a huge hit. Cool levels page one and tens of thousands of plays. Rarely seems to happen to a fantastic level. Can you tell us how the level came about? Did you write a script and follow it carefully. Do you plan everything like the close-ups in the pageant or did that just come to you when you were creating? | 2010-01-30 20:11:00 Author: Kipmonlin Posts: 251 |
I usually have a general plan for the level. Some things might change quite a bit in the end result. My original idea for this level was VERY different. The events leading up to getting killed by a llama were going to be an INTRODUCTION to a level that took place in the afterlife, haha. But I got so caught up in making the landscape & farm objects, I realized I wouldn't have the thermo left for the original idea. That's when I changed my plan & started to focus on the characters & minigames. As far as the cutscenes go, I imagine cinematic cutscenes very easily. I used to make short films with my friends & the experience of planning, filming, & editting has made it much easier to imagine how a scene should play out. Actually BUILDING the scene, with comic timing is another thing, haha. I've watched the pageant play out a thousand times! Very tedious, adjusting all that. | 2010-01-30 23:53:00 Author: DrunkenFist_Lee Posts: 172 |
Alrighty, the video is up! But it's not in HD yet, may take another hour or so before it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJUoqAMiSmo&fmt=22 | 2010-01-31 00:30:00 Author: Unknown User |
Wow, that's a great video! I thought for sure you were going to get killed by Bart at the end! Great job, and thanks a ton! | 2010-01-31 16:23:00 Author: DrunkenFist_Lee Posts: 172 |
