Sorry if I'm missing something here but what exactly do you mean? That was out years ago. I have every FF game since FF7 and the next one due out soon is FF13.

By the way I didn't think 8 was as good as some others even though the graphics were better. My personal favourites are FF7 and FF9. Only got about 30-40 hours into FF12 when LBP came out so haven't played that since. I don't like the battle system in 12 though, it's way too complex and confusing. I wish they'd go back to the turn based combat exactly as it was in 7. That was the best by far which is one reason apart from the story and characters that FF7 is still in general everyones favourite FF game.

As a downloable PS1 game on PSN is what he means I guess.

Of course if you really wanted to play it you can just buy an old copy for next to nothing and play just like that on your PS3.

I downloaded it from the US store last week, I always check that one since the amount of PS1 games is amazing compared to the EU store.2010-01-24 14:45:00

I would prefer to buy it through the PSN like I did with FF7- easier, cheaper PLUS you get the added bonus of putting it on a PSP!
Not only that but last time I was told by a friend's mum (she's big on her FF games ) that FF8 doesn't work that well on the PS3 anyway...

Very true, the disc version of FF VIII (The PAL version at least) has some issues on the PS3.
I have all FF on disc or cartridge or whatever but the benefit of taking my FF game from PS3 to PSP with the same savefile is really cool.

This is my favorite Final Fantasy game. I guess if you guys are getting it in the EU then they may have it in the US as well? If so, might check it out. I gave game away eons ago when I gave away my PSone. I like the idea of not having to switch discs.2010-01-25 18:31:00

Aw man, I'm definitely gonna buy FF7 and 8... probably try get through 8 first cause I've played half of 7 and would rather play something with nicer graphics. I have a load of really oldschool games to get through, and find it pretty hard to get into them when they've aged so badly. Games like the original Super Mario Bros or Bomberman don't bother me though ;D2010-01-25 23:25:00
