Looking for Feedback on Levels

Archive: 8 posts

Hi guys,

As I'm going into a games related course in Uni this year, I'd like a little feedback for my various LBP levels.
If possible, I'd like to know what you thought was good, and what you thought was bad so that I can learn from my mistakes and improve. But most of all, I hope you enjoy them.

So, without further ado, here are the level names (I changed accounts in the past, so they're on two separate accounts unfortunately)

All Quiet on the LittleBigPlanet by winnie91

Requiem for Alex by winnie91

Welcome to Utopia by theWinnie

Frown Town by theWinnie

Cheers guys, hope you have fun and I look forward to any feedback you have.

Hi

This is just a suggestion and, as you have been a member for so long, you may already know about it, but this site operates a system called "Feedback for Feedback" or "F4F" whereby you comment on levels by other creators and they return the favour. It's by no means compulsory to do F4F but you may get more comments on your levels if you post them as F4F. If you are short of time for playing other people's levels, you are allowed to set a limit on the number of feedbacks you can leave at the beginning of your F4F thread. Anyway the system is explained better in this thread https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=7962-Feedback-For-Feedback (F4F)

Good luck in any event!

Ah dang, that would explain it. Too late now, since I've already made the thread.
Eh, I'll try again some other time.

Thanks.

Okay,
I played Frown Town

The smiley face sticker system was good. Some of the obstacles were fun, if not original.

Calling the bad guy Cockmaster is asking to get modded when some prude gets offended by it so its best to remove that. Its not like it was astoundingly amusing though, so its not a huge loss.

Also, you need to make a bit more effort into the looks of the level if you are planning on making professional games. It looked a little shabby.

Also, the grabber thing at the end after you thanked the guy for bug testing didn't work, so I couldn't finish the level. So I wouldn't thank him too much

Thanks for playing.

Yeah, presentation is where I seem to fall short. I guess it's due to laziness... ^^;;

And grabber thing, could you be a little more precise? My memory is fuzzy, but what I remember is that you walk up to the guy on the side and point bubbles will drop down.

I just played Frown Town. At the point with the jetpacks, if you lose the pack, there's no way to finish the maze.

Also, it wouldn't hurt to name the prizes that you give out.

Retry/pop yourself?
