Intro: This is my second level in the LBP scene. After working for over a month on my last level "Little Big Ski Resort" I decided to step back a little and try something new aside from the Little Big Ski Resort soon to be series. Since music takes up a big part of my life I thought what better than to create an interactive music level, so that's exactly what I did. I origionally thought it would only take about 2 weeks, but due to bugs and school it was a little longer. But none the less it's hear and I would love to hear your comments the good and yes even the bad

About/Story: You start out backstage right before you are about to take the stage for a concert. The only problem is you don't know what to play. So you go into your mind searching for music to play. This is where your creativity comes into play. For every note on the piano you play it is analyzed and will play that note in the concert. So your basically writing your music. When you are finished or reach the maximum number of notes you will then leave your mind. You then go onto playing the music written by you and then you are catapulted back into your imagination (sort of).

Special Thanks to Domovoy12 for taking the screenshots.

Hi, ducksrulz! I have login Domovoy12 on littlebigworkshop (so thanks for mention author of screenshots - its nonsense but pleasant). All about level I already said so will not repeat it. About bug, that I mentioned yesterday - I tried to repeat this - but during 5 tries there are all work fine and I could not repeat that bug. So - I think maybe it was just a single glitch of psp, game or level. Thank again for great realization of wonderful idea!2010-01-22 10:05:00

Yeah I explored that glitch, and it seems to be a rarity, about 1/20. Since it doesn't seem to be occuring too often I have decided it's not a big enough deal to release a new version. But it would be nice if the magic mouth thing would work

And your welcome, I'm glad you liked the level and thanks for the comments.

I'm surprised this hasn't received proper feedback yet! Well, here goes.

Oh, but before I start: Sharks rule! (That is, unless your PSN is in reference to the Oregon Ducks, in which case my hockey-related exclamation is misplaced.)

So anyway, this level is amazing! It does have its problems, but more on that later. This is one of the most original ideas I have seen in a long time. You've done a fantastic job with this level technically, especially considering the PSP's create mode. Everything works remarkably well, and I love the overall concept of having to dream up music before going on stage. The visuals are extremely well done - the stage and piano are represented perfectly, and the etheral look of the "imagination" is great. The white fog is a great choice. I played the level several times and it worked flawlessly. I didn't come across any bugs, and I really think this is a superior effort as compared to AceCreator's Music Maker concept.

The area this level needs improvement in is its playability. It's technically impressive and a visual treat, but it's quite hard to actually use. The first time you play, you just tend to wander around on the piano keys wondering what will happen. The speech bubbles pop up all on top of each other and are very easy to miss, and it's impossible to tell which key you're going to land on until you've already pressed it - at which time it's too late. What you really need within the "imagination" sequence is an optional set of instructions. They should be clearly marked and easily accessible, such as a series of magic mouths that are attached to a single button each. This will make it easy for the player to figure out how to use the level the first time through but skip the speech in subsequent plays. The next thing you need are some kind of markers on the keys. Because this is so based so heavily on the foundations of music, why not label the keys with their respective notes? Simple "A", "B", "C", etc. will do for labels, and it should be easy enough to indicate natural/sharp/flat notes. My last gripe is that there are spelling errors throughout your speech bubbles. I know this is rather picky, and considering I am suggesting you change the overall presentation of your text anyway I'd just suggest having a friend proofread everything for you before you republish.

To summarize, this is a remarkable level that to me seems about 98% complete. Despite its flaws, it absolutely earns 5 stars and a heart from me. Really awesome stuff!

Thank you so much for the great comment. I would have never have realized any of that on my own. Because of those problems I released a new version (v 1.10) in which I hope I covered all of that.

Once again thanks.
