I have one that could kill some time for you... Try and write the numbers 1-30 using four 4's and using only mathematical operations. I will start you off... 1 = (4*4) / (4*4) = (4+4) / (4+4) 2 = (4*4) / [sqrt(4)*sqrt(4)] = (4! / 4) - sqrt(4) - sqrt(4) 3 = (4+4+4) / 4 = sqrt(4 / .4) * (4/4) ... Allowed operations are +, -, /, *, %, .4 (.4 repeating), sqrt, and ! (factorial). Many of them have more than one solution, as demonstrated here. It turns out you can write the numbers one to ten using 4 of any number, and just today I had to derive equations for them. Good luck. It's quite fun. --- And don't use an internet search!!

Syroc, you have to use exactly 4 of them! Else I'd be able to just add different amounts of 4/4 to get what I needed. Only 15, 16, and 24 are correct.

I do... I was told that pi was found out by some dude like years and years and years ago... Yeah he got some pastry, put some fruit in it and put it in an oven. After an hour (Old ovens take forever) he opened the door and the pie had mysteriously transformed into the number 3! That is how it begun. But seriously. I prefer the food.

ARD, ohms have a lot to do with pi. If you have like an infinite grid of 1-ohm resistors, ie each resistor is linked to 3 others at either end in a grid, then the relative resistances of two points of intersection are usually involve pi in their identity.
