Sudden script error

Archive: 7 posts

Cartman, are you toying with scripts right now?

If not, I just started getting this error in both IE and Firefox:

The file /home/lbpcentr/public_html/forums/clientscript/vbsc.js is empty. Ensure you have the file chmodded as per the installation instructions and run the Compress Javascript under vB4: SuperCharged in your Admin CP.

To prevent issues, your forum is currently running without optimised Javascript as a fallback.

As a last resort if you cannot get this message to disappear, disable the Common Javascript Cache. The file /home/lbpcentr/public_html/forums/clientscript/vbulletin_css/style00040l/vbsc_forumhome.css is missing. Please run Compress CSS.

Yeah, had that a few minutes ago as well. Seems solved now though.2010-01-20 14:41:00

I'm working on installing an HTML/CSS/Javascript compressor (makes pages load faster), but I wasn't finished configuring it. It should work fine now - reload the page and let me know if you're still getting that error.2010-01-20 14:42:00

Not, it's not fixed yet. I just got it at the top of the "thanks for logging in" page.

The file /home/lbpcentr/public_html/forums/clientscript/vbulletin_css/style00000l/vbulletin.css is missing. This would indicate your forum is not set to save CSS on the filesystem. If you are certain it is, try running Compress CSS again.

Thanks for that. It seems to be a bug in the addon. I've disabled the CSS compressor for now while the developer works on a bugfix. HTML and Javascript are still being compressed successfully, so I haven't disabled everything.
