What happened to the API!

Well, this is not really a suggestion as mm already said it was a feature we would get.

So, where did the API go?

Do you mean the webportal that would allow you to look at your plays, comments and such? If so they haven't said a word about it in ages.2010-01-19 14:42:00

Almost - the fun thing about APIs is that they are interactive.

The API was supposed to have access to the username of the person(s) playing, making it possible to say... only generate a certain item once ever, even if the game is replayed and even then, only generate that item for one specific person. It would be much better for example, lockboxes - because there would be no password to give away. You could not Google your way in.

They have not said anything about it in ages though, I think it will be vapourware or underwhelming.

Application Programming Interface.

It's the first I ever heard of such a thing. TBH, this sort of feature seems a little bit heavy handed for LBP. I can't see them ever actually giving us any kind of true API and even a gui-driven drop and click thing seems way beyond anything we have at the mo. Don't get me wrong, there is so much that could be done given such a system, but I can't see it fitting in LBP.
