I'll give 5 F4Fs.

This a light story level, there's a shortage of fish and the you have to do something about it.
You travel and meet some of the animals in the arctic. Here's a pic of some friends that will help you along the way.

This level has some great eye candy. One of the best visuals is my polar lights effect. Wich you see while you ride a polar bear at night.

I've worked months on this level and I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for playing and I very much apprecitate hearts.

Very good. Nice use of visuals.
I have a few suggestions - the checkpoints could probably be changed to unlimited to prevent frustration.
The whole ending could use a lot of work. Pulling a switch to set the fish free seems so... unepic. The boss fight was fast and easy.
Other than that, very nice level - 5 star and heart.

.................. Just 3 days ago, I started to work on the same arctic theme... but not in the same style

Anyway, I just played your level and..........Wow!
Seriously, this a very good one, and it's obvious that spend time working on it!

The visuals are great! From the scenery to the characters , everything looks good!
I loved the killer whale and the sea lion king (a little scary..).
Oh, and the aurora borealis was really well-done!

Gameplay was great and fun too!
Nice platforming and some good ideas (the fire to melt the ice was a good find!)

Just 1 suggestion though :
At the end, on the access key switch, I think you better use a normal MM sticker, instead of a custom one!
I rarely turns ON the community objects, and I didn't read the description of the level ...
so arrived at the end, I find myself restarted the level to play it all again....
I think it will happen to other people too..! So if that custom sticker doesn't bring something very important, better change it for an MM one.

Anyway, this is a great level that I really enjoyed playing!
Keep up the good work!

:star::star::star::star::star: + heart

The whole ending could use a lot of work

Yeah, the problem was I was running out of Thermo. Thats why, I elluded to a sequel at the end there. I plan on doing an Arctic theme of levels. Also, the begining I had help from Uirop, but sadly she's been offline fore awhile so I had to finish myself. I appreciate the critisism and I may rework the ending once the contest I entered it in is over.
As foryour comment about the checkpoint, I feel the unlimited checkpoints are overused. My level isn't that difficult. If your playing with multiple people maybe I guess.

I think you better use a normal MM sticker

Yeah, I put that comment in the description cause some of my friends turn off their prizes too. I have thought about it and I may do it since its at the end of the level. I thought I made a nice pic to share and wanted to use that. Oh well...

Thanks for playing my level, I appreciate it very much.

I played your level, Dispite your me and my partners competiton (JK) And i completely loved it! Although, im not fan of glitches, and takeing away the 3D layer glitch would be a big improvement, although, you do better than me with it XD Also, at the end, where your being chased by the sea lion king, you could probobly make him say something like "How dare your spoil my plans! I guess i will have to eat YOU INSTEAD!" and then he starts to chase you. Also, is the kind=g supposed to go into the whales mouth? Because, he didint when i played through it!

Overall an amazing level, with a few minor falls. 4 outta 5!
No need to provide feedback on any of my levels, all of my levels are going to be removed soon enough.

LOL why does everyone call it a sea lion? Its a leopard seal. Youtube leopard seal, they look like monsters. I did make a mistake and called the female leopard seal a lioness. So my bad there.
@grayspence,
I completely agree with the Seal Kings comment, he should say something. In fact, before the chase there was supposed to be an entire discussion, I ran out of room in my level sadly. What I'm prabably gonna do is cut this level in half and rework it to a be a series. The end will be with the killer whale ride, and I'll pick up an entirely new level. I just wanted things to be rapped up for the contest.

You really think I should do away with the 3D glitch eh? You do realize I use that glitch for the best visiual in my level. The polar lightrs. I'm not one to use the 3D glitch for no reason. I used it at the beginining cause I couldn't use the backgroud and the level was completely void of anything in the back. Then later on when we ride orca, there would have been nothing but trees in the background underwater. After that I only use it a few more times. I agree with you on I'm actually not a big fan of the glitches either. But I'll use what I need to.

Thanks for the reply, I'm gald you enjoyed it.

Hey Vex,

Thanks for you review of Fireball Island. Funny that you mentioned the speech bubbles for the fish, I did manage to have that fix by the time you posted. I saw your comments on my level btw, thanks, though I'm afraid they were lost when I published anew last night. If you want to re-rate the level, go for it, up to you.

Anyways, onto Arctic...

I pretty much have all good things to say. From the very beginning, I was impressed with your attention to detail. Your visuals were wonderful and I thought you did a great job on your set design.

My favorite part was the avalanche sequence. Not only did this look great, but it was fantastically innovative. The polar bear ride was also very memorable. The fact that you found a way to create Aurora Borealis in the background impressed me. I also loved your Orca!! Everything in this level fit the theme perfectly. It wasn't just a snow level, it was the Arctic. It felt colder than any snowy level I've played, with a story fit to match. The transition to the Seal King's lair was very smooth and did not feel like a clash of themes. Good job!

Now for the constructive criticism. The gameplay elements were mostly refreshing, although a few things seemed a bit bland. Normally that would include ice slides, but I felt yours were a well justified inclusion. Rather, a good example would be the underwater area after the orca scene. I felt this area, with its ice-panel blockages and rotating gas pockets, lacked the same inspiring gameplay the rest of your level carried. The difficulty could have been a bit better balanced. The most challenging areas were at the beginning of the level (i.e. platform hopping). Similarly, the boss chase sequence, although well designed, was underwhelming for the fact that I never felt I was in real danger. It was far too easy to stay ahead. The race sequence felt too short, but I think that was because it didn't span more than one setting (gameplay-wise and visually). Finally, the sticker you collect to open up the path to the boss fight... such a minor point, but worth mentioning. There are a lot of people that go out of their way to avoid collecting user-made content (it's clutter for most of us)... these people might disregard or not read the speech bubble and bypass picking it up, only to find themselves at a dead end later on. I make a point of keeping sticker switches optional in levels for this reason.

Overall, I loved it. This has got to be the best arctic level I've played. 5 stars and a well earned heart. Good luck with LBW1!
