Air Material

Archive: 15 posts

I just had a brain wave!!!!

When I first got the POTC Pack, I found that you can't have air under water, so why not make it so?

Have a new tool or material or something that can create a large air bubble underwater

I like this idea, it's not insane like making water dynamic, and it could work well.

Unfortunately, I don't think Mm works on DLC after it releases.

This is very good idea but i would like more "climate bubble" where you can set local water and light. Shape of it could be modified by corner editor.2010-01-16 14:59:00

I think you make a solid point, here. They could release it in something like Creator Pack 2, but it would only benefit those who had purchased the Pirates! DLC. Long story short, not worth the botheration, even if 50% of the community had purchased Pirates!

But it is a bit silly that they didnt do something like this in the first place. I could of made the game so much better. But i suppose that because the water takes up like 100 layers it wouldnt really work.2010-01-16 15:15:00

They could make it like if there is no gap in the material such as cardboard and whatnot, then the water does not fill that area and as soon as a gap is opened it fills with water, not like pouring, but just instantly fills in, that could be used for sinking ships, submarines, submerged cities and all sorts of stuff, if we're going to be stuck with "The Beach" and "Pool" levels at least give the interesting creators something to work with 2010-01-16 19:44:00

... What if they made it so that if you make a hollowed out object, you could tweak it? You could make it airtight ( water can't get in ) or not air tight ( the normal, current setting ).

This would probably take a lot less time to program for the game, and it wouldn't be as complicated.

In a way this is like asking for Dynamic water...Unlike shapes and simple models, the water cannot simply be "Molded" unless it was more..dynamic.
...and that's always "No'd" ...

The idea would be cool yes....but for MM to incorperate it would take too much effort.
