Is this a good enough graphics card?

| So my old graphics card crapped out on me, which was an NVidia GeForce FX 5500. In other words, I was using a card from a brand that was from 2004. I could seem to run games at 1280 x 1024 with medium settings while getting around 20 - 30 FPS, until it ate itself. Well it turns out I'm getting a new one, and apparently it's a "Verto GeForce 8400GS 512 MB PCI". It's around a year or two- old, and according to all the specs for it it will be miles better than my old one. However, I've been looking it up online and the reviews range from "it's crap" to "it's amazing". So I was just wondering if any of my you have had any experience with this card. BTW, I have 2 GB RAM and an Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.80 GHz processor, which as far as I know is over 5 years old but works just fine. | 2010-01-15 02:41:00 Author: Arkei  Posts: 1432 |
