Boss help

I am working on a boss and need some expert advice.

I want him to dissolve in stages and he?s almost working correctly ? but not quite. His arms and legs are made of dissolve material hooked to ?and? switches that are hooked to the paintinator switches. You have to trigger both paintinators for his arms to dissolve, then all four paintinators on his legs for them to dissolve.

Is there a way to set the paintinator switches on his legs to not register any hits at all until after the arms are gone? He is static until his arms are shot off, then he starts a horizontal ?scurrying? motion. But you can shoot off his legs before you shoot off his arms and it ruins the effect. I want him to be zipping around while you try to shoot off the legs.

Perhaps you could surround the legs in dissolve that only disappears when the arms are gone?2010-01-15 00:03:00

Hmm... but if I clad the legs in a thin layer of dissolve on the front it would interfere with the body part on the thin layer since they bob up and down on pistons. Perhaps if I left the top part bare it would.... DOH! Don't need to clad the front layer do I? I'm sure that was obvious to everyone else.

All you need to do is add another AND gate in.
So leg shots will only register is leg is hit AND arms are gone.
Just saves it from being messy with a load of extra material, you keep your old design and just have a little more logic off screen.

or you can have the back layer a platform in the back that when the arms go away, a perm swich is activated and the platform will come down to get it the back
FYI, paint balls cant switch layers
