I've seen alot of bands in my time, hell, I've even played with a few. I've seen some of the all time greats - like the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd etc - And all of them are dwarfed by the one time I saw Leonard Cohen - it was the most effecting gig I have ever experienced... it was almost a religious experience. The crowd were in total awe, enjoying the songs in absolute silence until they had finished and then roaring with applause - so totally different from every other gig I have ever been to. And Leonard Cohen himself was so humble, so appreciative of the audience, and also incredibly funny, almost like a stand up comedian. I'll never forget that gig as long as I live. | 2011-03-10 15:16:00 Author: Macnme Posts: 1970 |
