Can you be more specific? What is the other object? The simple answer is to have a piston attached in some way to the bottom/base; set the switch to directional, and the piston to very fast (0.1 sec). But that solution may not be applicable to your object, so...2010-01-13 20:44:00

@ V0rtex

The other object is a piece of cardboard. I have piston from the top of the cardboard to the roof. I want it so that when I push a button it will go around 3x higher than sackboy's head. It will come up and down. The button will be upside down attached to something hanging. (like how MedieMolecule starts sirvivals except the button stays there)

The piston is connected to the roof of your "room" or all the way to the roof of your level?? Because if it's that long, the first thing you'll wanna do is connect it to a piece of DM (dark matter) out of camera view - much more manageable length that way.

Then set your switch to Directional, your piston to Stiff, and to the minimum length needed to reach the height you spoke of (you may need to play with it a bit - I usually connect the Directional switch to it, then Invert the switch (one of the options on the switch pop-up menu) and set it accordingly). However, this really only works if the piston (and by extension, the jumping action) is very fast. Because the directional setting will only move it in a given direction for as long as it is On.

So... if you need it to be slower, then you'll want to change the switch to One-Shot and attach it to an emitter-timer (you can find one in the LBPC logic-pack), but I'll explain. Have an emitter emit a block with a Mag-Key on it next to a Mag-Switch set to directional and connected to your piston. You can control the timing this way by tweaking the Lifetime of the emitted object (Mag-Key Block) in the emitter's pop-up menu. Of course, all of this emitter-timer logic would be off-screen somewhere.

Hope this helps.
