If your Favourite Creators were Bands, what would they be?
Archive: 80 posts
Says it all in the title... (Eg. Wexfordian would be.. um.. Snow Patrol? ) | 2010-01-12 13:27:00 Author: AgentBanana Posts: 511 |
GruntosUK would probably be Dream Theater. His levels are epic, tell a story and come in many parts. Although I don't think Dream Theater have any songs about Mars or Siberia. | 2010-01-12 13:29:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Hmmm.... I think NinjaMicWZ would be 'AC/DC' Morgana25 would be 'The Moody Blues' Wexfordian would be 'U2' MrsSpookyBuz would be 'The Beatles' Venamiera would be 'Yes' TheGide would be 'Vertical Horizon' These are not all my favorites, just the ones I can somehow associate to bands. | 2010-01-12 14:14:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
CuzFeeshe = "Rage against the Machine" - Gets you in a panic, worked up, and aggitated.... yet you can't stop listening to them again and again. xkappax = "Jewel" - geddit?? Jaeyden = Beatles (later period) - Colourful, trippy, magical mystery tour. Jolly Rajah = Kraftwerk (or any German hardcore techno) | 2010-01-12 14:17:00 Author: wexfordian Posts: 1904 |
I was going to say the Grateful Dead for Jaeyden, but I didn't, because I hate the Grateful Dead. The beatles is a much more apt analogy, though. FULLGORR would be Weird Al Yankovic. | 2010-01-12 14:24:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
FULLGORR would be Weird Al Yankovic. totally | 2010-01-12 14:42:00 Author: wexfordian Posts: 1904 |
Spooky would be Lady Gaga... tee hee | 2010-01-12 14:51:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
I thought of another one. I think Poms would probably be Sonic Youth. They do "art rock" and "Miracle of Life" is one of the most artistic levels I've ever played. | 2010-01-12 15:08:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
RRR30000 Dizzee Rascal, you can't understand how he does what he does. He's by the far the best creator of his type and he's a future legend lol | 2010-01-12 15:50:00 Author: Draden6436 Posts: 297 |
CompherMC= The Killers, They' take ages to release a new song, but when they do, it screams quality! | 2010-01-12 20:21:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |
CompherMC= The Killers, They' take ages to release a new song, but when they do, it screams quality! Literally. | 2010-01-12 20:28:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
Wexfordian = Snow Patrol? So you're trying to say that Wex's level are empty, boring, and make you fall asleep? I don't think he'll be happy with that! Could be worse, at least you didn't say he's Coldplay | 2010-01-13 06:56:00 Author: jackofcourse Posts: 1494 |

Could be worse, at least you didn't say he's Coldplay Hey now! That was an example! His levels are more like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzYzVMcgWhg Any objections? | 2010-01-13 16:23:00 Author: AgentBanana Posts: 511 |

That's a hard question... I suppose I'd say well, I can't think of any! Brain-dead, I know... | 2010-01-13 21:30:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |
That's okay, I couldn't really think of anything myself either! :'D | 2010-01-13 21:50:00 Author: AgentBanana Posts: 511 |
ok - it's been bugging me for a day now..... since I'm not a Moody Blues fan I don't get why my style would be them. lol I've heard of them but anyone want to explain the metaphor to me? | 2010-01-13 22:03:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
ok - it's been bugging me for a day now..... since I'm not a Moody Blues fan I don't get why my style would be them. lol I've heard of them but anyone want to explain the metaphor to me? Not sure, Morgana, but I'd rather be Moody Blues than Lady GaGa! | 2010-01-13 22:05:00 Author: MrsSpookyBuz Posts: 1492 |
Don't worry Spooky, you wouldn't be lady gaga.. you'd be a much older band Like someone who played for Henry VIII or VII or VII or IV... well more like I | 2010-01-13 22:14:00 Author: Coxy224 Posts: 2645 |
Don't worry Spooky, you wouldn't be lady gaga.. you'd be a much older band Like someone who played for Henry VIII or VII or VII or IV... well more like I lol Coxy. I may be old but I'm still strong enough to smash my lute over yer bonce! And Lady GaGa? A band? Crikey, I thought a band had to be more than one member and at least show some kind of musical prowess. It seems I'm wrong, and not for the first time. | 2010-01-13 22:22:00 Author: MrsSpookyBuz Posts: 1492 |
@ Coxy - you are so naughty...... it's hilarious. @ MrsSpookyBuz - I totally agree, Moody Blues seems like an awesome thing to be - I just don't get it. lol. So let's see in my world MrsSpookyBuz would be like Queen. Deep selections and varied but always rocking and fun. Fullgorr - certainly Weird Al Yankovich, and I adore Weird Al btw. CCubbage is like Nine Inch Nails - always hard rocking and pushing boundries. Comphermc is rapidly becoming the Depeche Mode of creators in my world - I love all he's done, it's always cool and has an element of thinkage to it. Ungreth is easy - The Cure, for obvious reasons. Now if I could just find a Ministry creator out there..... | 2010-01-13 22:34:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
AC/DC works for me I could easily be the Chili Peppers though, when they do stuff like Under the Bridge and Soul to Squeeze... or Bjork lol - AesopROCK maybe? ould be Devo... just seems right Jaeyden... I agree with wexfordian... yellow subs, lucy in the sky, number 8 et al wexfordian would be Tool... think the way Tool's videos were ahead of the industry in terms of presentation and coolness MrsSpookyBuzz... Dragonforce, because her levels usually run at a breakneck pace and keep you moving IceMaiden... Taylor Swift, when she was a nice, humble girl so rudely interrupted by some jerk, but is now quite popular and very appreciated CENTURION24 would be Mims... "this is why I'm hot" GruntosUK... dropkickmurphy mixed with George Thorogood Vanemiera... Rammstein Voltiare... that one guy that did that one song a long time ago sighwhatever... he could be Nirvana, cause of angst and suicide theme, but he's not popular enough OIL_ ... Nobuo Uematsu OCK - Young MC... for Bust-a-Move jackofcourse... Lil Wayne... 3 peat, 3 peat - one of the only person always going platinum, in a world gone Hannah Montana jump_button... Company Flow Morgana... En Vogue... no wait, Erykah Badu - that probably only makes sense to me mrsupercomputer... Steve Vai I'll try and think of more for some of the others. | 2010-01-13 22:38:00 Author: Unknown User |
Anyone got one for me? I feel so.. unknown. It's school all over again! Well, not really. | 2010-01-13 22:51:00 Author: AgentBanana Posts: 511 |
Agent Banana, you can be "The Velvet Underground", because they have that Banana on the cover of one of their albums. Or you can be Raffi, if you'd like... ring ring ring ring ring ring... BANANA PHONE! | 2010-01-13 22:54:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
I know, I know! I've been trying to think of one for xkappax and she's Christine Lavin! Folk singer with an awesome sense of humor and beautiful voice. Check out her songs Harrison Ford and Lulaby for Pluto for a giggle and some gorgeous music... if ya like that sort of thing | 2010-01-13 22:57:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
@xkappax and Agent How about "The Who?" | 2010-01-13 22:57:00 Author: Unknown User |
Morgana, I have no idea who that is, but I do like folk music. I"ll check her out. I know that if I could pick a band for Larry and I to be, it would definitely be Soul Asylum. Dave Pirner is a great lyricist and Dan Murphy is a great guitarist, but on their own, neither is as strong as they are together. And ninja, lol. the Who. That's funny. | 2010-01-13 23:03:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Agent Banana, you can be "The Velvet Underground", because they have that Banana on the cover of one of their albums. Or you can be Raffi, if you'd like... ring ring ring ring ring ring... BANANA PHONE! Lol, I'd think I be 'The Velvet Underground' then. Thanks for your post! On a side note, talking of bananas is making me hungry, you can have banana pie and banana cake which is 'mmmmmmmmmmmmm' and after this I've got several banana parties to attend where we 'discuss' private bana.. I mean matters. I've heard that bananas can also cure cancer. Uhh, all the talk of bananas is making me feel ill. Edit: I'd think I'd be the who then. Haha. | 2010-01-13 23:12:00 Author: AgentBanana Posts: 511 |
I gotcha man. Harry Belafonte... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMTNT_BzkdA | 2010-01-13 23:18:00 Author: Unknown User |
Ricky-Bobby91 could be Amon Tobin [or Oingo Boingo lol] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrUNCrV4uPI IceMaiden could be Michele de Wilton [or Iron Maiden teehee] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q98BhxaK_GQ Jump_Button could be Ulrich Schnauss http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvudl35im48 Tawarf could be... Blackout Band XD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5SNOAcD3ak Naw, just kidding. | 2010-01-13 23:43:00 Author: Voodeedoo Posts: 724 |
Thanks . But tbh I'd think I'd be Oasis because of the amount of times I rip-off other people. I hope im not sounding selfish.. I've got to think of something for somebody but I havant really got a clue for any of you guys. MrsSpookyBuz could be Elvis I suppose. | 2010-01-13 23:45:00 Author: AgentBanana Posts: 511 |
lol @ Elvis... Mariah Carey maybe... #1 selling female artist of all time, with 17 #1 singles. Note to all, I do like all the artists and bands I've used, so no offense intended. | 2010-01-13 23:57:00 Author: Unknown User |
MrsSpookyBuz could be Elvis I suppose. Elvis? ROFL! Hey, I may be old but I ain't dead just yet! Oh, wait, maybe he isn't either... | 2010-01-14 10:58:00 Author: MrsSpookyBuz Posts: 1492 |
I always thought of MrsSB as more of an Elton John to be honest. | 2010-01-14 11:04:00 Author: wexfordian Posts: 1904 |
I always thought of MrsSB as more of an Elton John to be honest. Gah! Quit it already! I'd rather be Elvis than Elton John - the fact that I have a 'weave' has NEVER been proven. | 2010-01-14 11:09:00 Author: MrsSpookyBuz Posts: 1492 |
Like a candle in the wind.... | 2010-01-14 11:15:00 Author: wexfordian Posts: 1904 |
Like a boot up yer jacksie... | 2010-01-14 11:23:00 Author: MrsSpookyBuz Posts: 1492 |
Don't worry MrsSpookyBuz, I have the perfect solution! You can be a cross between Maralyn Monroe and Elton John, there, everybody wins. | 2010-01-14 17:58:00 Author: AgentBanana Posts: 511 |
I think MrsSpookyBuz is Freezepop. Every time I play her Hyper Cube levels, I think of the song "Science Genius Girl" by them. Surely that's better than Elton John, right? RIGHT?! | 2010-01-14 18:04:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
What about David Bowie? | 2010-01-14 18:19:00 Author: AgentBanana Posts: 511 |
I wonder what band I would be... Not that I have many levels though. | 2010-01-14 19:06:00 Author: FlipMeister Posts: 631 |
SirAsphalt? Why, that's easy. You've be "Pavement" ... get it? Pavement? Asphalt... ugh. Sigh. maybe not. | 2010-01-14 19:15:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Asphalt... ugh. Sigh. maybe not. Don't worry! I'm pretty sure they're a... moderately good band! *EDIT* Well I listened to one of their pieces, 'Cut your Hair' and it is moderately good, but can't they come up with a better subject for a song? I mean, really? | 2010-01-14 19:18:00 Author: FlipMeister Posts: 631 |
I was just saying "ugh" because of the HORRIBLE pun. I vaguely remember pavement being a good band. | 2010-01-14 19:39:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |
Morgana would be Muse. No idea why. Zwollie would definitely be Symphony X. Creative, doodley (?) and kick *** attached to it. | 2010-01-14 20:48:00 Author: KoRnDawwg Posts: 1424 |
Korndawwg is Marilyn Manson. | 2010-01-14 20:52:00 Author: Incinerator22 Posts: 3251 |
KoRnDawwg would probably be...ummm...HeelMusic. | 2010-01-14 20:53:00 Author: AbstractFlesh Posts: 837 |
Korndawwg is Marilyn Manson. I find that highly insulting, I have not have any ribs removed for reasons which can only be defined as "****ed up". I mean, seriously, ew >_< lol | 2010-01-14 20:58:00 Author: KoRnDawwg Posts: 1424 |
Korndawwg is so awesome that he wouldn't be a band. No band in the world is awesome enough to compare to his glory. | 2010-01-14 21:02:00 Author: Incinerator22 Posts: 3251 |
Quit the sarcasm, I'm not in the mood. | 2010-01-14 21:03:00 Author: KoRnDawwg Posts: 1424 |

Hmmm... You still lookin' for a guy to be your Ministry person, Morgana? I think it'd suit me. | 2010-01-14 22:07:00 Author: SLS10 Posts: 1129 |
I am still searching for my Ministry creator. Haven't found him/her yet. For you, let's see....... your more like Thrill Kill Kult I think. Always fun to hear with great rhythm, a little psychedellic sometimes, and never gets old to me. | 2010-01-14 22:10:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |

rtm223 and comphermc - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fI8834iCgo xkappax - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcOZ6xFxJqg Much better choice | 2010-01-15 21:16:00 Author: Unknown User |
Mrsupercomputer -> Radiohead. Seriously. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHiGbolFFGw Mammett-box -> Porcupine tree. It fits so much with the mood in his levels! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJj-CtvyRCk | 2010-01-16 00:11:00 Author: Keldur Posts: 628 |

ok - it's been bugging me for a day now..... since I'm not a Moody Blues fan I don't get why my style would be them. lol I've heard of them but anyone want to explain the metaphor to me? Sorry... I was out of town since I wrote that comment. Here's why I chose "The Moody Blues": Your levels are artistic, well crafted, intelligent, and generally weave a nice story in with them.... seemed like a good fit. Back in the 60's and early 70's they created incredible concept albums that formed songs of many different tempos into really cohesive albums... which reminded me of the Chromostone chronicles series - which started beautiful and slow, and built into a fantastic finale. Good enough? | 2010-01-17 00:52:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Yep - thanks for the explanation and the compliment. | 2010-01-17 01:50:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |

I can somehow picture MrSuperCompooter as this early 80's post-punk band. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtgpoMt0m-4 And xKappax could be Dan Deacon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFlBJ1xZK10 eh? eh? | 2010-01-20 10:28:00 Author: Voodeedoo Posts: 724 |

Ccubbage AND geosautus here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Io-fDcpeVl0 russelsmussels - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1nzEFMjkI4 | 2010-01-20 16:17:00 Author: Unknown User |
Wow.... I was waiting for several days until I was at a computer where I could hear audio to listen to the "CuzFeeshe and Geosautus" tune.... it intrigued me first of all because I've never heard us compared (he's the epitome of popular creator, and I'm the epitome of making people want to break their TV's), but I totally dug that tune! Then I listened to the Russelmussels one.... wow, that has to be the most piercing, irritating music I've ever heard. I had to take the headphones off so my brain wouldn't spasm. Great stuff! | 2010-01-22 23:50:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Here's my take on russelsmussels: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ssh71hePR8Q Whereas I'd compare RockSauron to somethin' like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCAt9WcCFbM I think this would describe me best: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDkGc8JcGuc Aaand, somethin' for the guys back at Outlaw Flyers . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2cYWfq--Nw | 2010-01-23 06:03:00 Author: Outlaw-Jack Posts: 5757 |
