I've been on littlebignetwork for the first time over the last couple of days, and theres some idiot from lbpcentral whos swearing repeatedly, spelling badly, and telling everyone to go to lbpcentral instead. If any of the good people here know who he is, can they please ask him to stop creating new users with which to spam the site some more. Thanks guys, I know you're not all ejits.

Unfortunately some people think they are doing something good by spamming other community sites like that. I think CC will agree when I say we don't approve of such behaviour here, we are quite open to other community sites. Sadly, I have no idea who he is...

I would say if you see someone acting inappropriately on another site, the other site should handle it. You could certainly post them a message over there saying that LBPCentral does not approve of it.... we don't like people doing it on our site about other sites either.

And if you genuinely have a problem you want us to sort out then why on earth don't you tell us his forum name or where to find the offensive threads? Smells fishy to me...what are you up to?

And if you genuinely have a problem you want us to sort out then why on earth don't you tell us his forum name or where to find the offensive threads? Smells fishy to me...what are you up to? You do not think if he came here to complain about the posts, they would have been removed by a moderator first? It makes sense that they are no longer there. It does not strike me as suspicious.

They've clearly now been moderated, as you would expect. This was an attempt to nip the problem at the bud, and show the guy that his forum don't want him to do such things. Otherwise he may have just gone on creating new accounts, unless you can block the IP address or something. IP bans do not work for a variety of reasons, but I will keep the thread on topic. If you keep removing the posts, they will probably get bored.

I agree - it just seems a little immature and I don't feel it is condoned by any of the staff here - but, there are other places that have done things like this in other places at the behest of the staff. From what I can tell, a lot of people use both sites so I am sure they will not think it reflects us all.

It would appear more like him (or just him) have gone to the forum with a similar message, so I'm not too surprised... If the only interaction they get is with the moronic trolls then they'll end up with a bad impression of the site overall. I myself hadnt even heard of littlebignetwork till a day or two ago! If there are any mods around: Could you make the thread title a bit less extreme? I think the matters had all the attention it needs, thansk. Maybe 'Stop the 'lbpcentral' troll' or something!

You can edit it yourself chimpskylark. Just to to the first post, click edit, then click go advanced and you can modify the thread title. Not sure what's going on there though. I don't think I know any member of the forum here who would be so crass as to post those kinds of things but I've been surprised before. Shame really. It's sad to think that LBPC's rep in the greater community is being colored by this sort of stuff.
