After three months of work I am sharing with all of you my first effort. I am looking for some feedback. Thus far it seems favorable, but it is hard to base anything on a few people having played. Please enjoy the level and let me know what you think. I take the Wexfordian approach, if my wife can't play it, then it is too hard. Thanks to all in advance.

Okay, I played your level, and as I always do, I made a list of things to change:
1. Cut out your stickers better, they look bad
2. Use the tentacle object not stickers
3.Where you are about to enter the wood cart thats hanging from the ceiling, a mouth, an emitter and a global lighting switch are visible
4.I had to pop myself(try again) twice to get down from the obstacles for the red cube
5. You should put a checkpoint after you get the three sponge keys
6. You should definitely put a checkpoint next to the tentacle boss, so you don't have to keep running down the tunnel

This was a good level! While the visuals were a bit lacking, the game-play and concepts were fresh, original, and exciting!

First I just want to say for your first level...GREAT JOB!

However there are some things that could be easily fixed to help make your level even better!

Make switches invisible. I get that it is hard sometimes to get someone to place a key in a certain area...and the easiest solution is to just make it visible. But in a level like yours it takes away from the "look".

Also, I personally like to have more score bubbles just to keep the players motivated to keep going.

The elevator section was pretty original, however the platform wasn't quite long enough, and I kept falling off when leaning to the outside to use the 3-way switch.

All in all I enjoyed it. Just a few minor adjustments and you'll have a hit

If you want to try my levels, please play my new Elemental series. Feedback would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Wow, thanks for the feedback and encouragement, gents. I will polish it up using some (most) of the suggestions this weekend.

Devonushka - I have seen the tentacle object in other levels, but I have yet to come across it. Is it DLC that I missed? Probably won't go back to redo it this time, but would much rather use it in part 2.

General question - How do you take picture to add to the showcase on the website. Is there a way to transfer in game shots or digital camera or...something else? Sorry, new to good tech. Recovering Wii owner.

I've found that the easiest way to get photos from your computer is to plug a flash drive into you PS3 and import your photos to it. Then plug it into you computer and import.2010-01-12 21:14:00

Thank you so much to the guys who played the level. I made a few changes. I will continue to do so as I work on my next level. I am amazed at how much you learn by making a single level. Anyone else that feels like giving this one a run it would be appreciated. Pictures are coming soon.2010-01-24 20:28:00
