Hell's Angels 2poms/poms
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=2019&d=1261948238Can a Hell Angel like Sack restore peace between Heaven and Hell?

The sequel to Hell's Angel is just as packed with motorcycle mayhem as the original and throw in some excellent lighting effects and a healthy dose of platforming in heaven and hell and you have a spectacular experience on your hands. Great depictions of satan and god will impress you and have you wondering how palms managed to pull those off. Memorable and free spirited it's a return to poms roots of a fun, free and fantastic level creation.Despite images of murdering, racist bikers popping into your head when you hear the name, Hell's Angels 2 is about as light hearted as levels get. Hopefully, should I ever end up in hell, it's as fun as this version. Some awesome set design in this one really do sell both heaven and hell and the platforming will keep you on your toes when you're sight seeing.Motor bikes are usually reserved for race levels that take five seconds where you overshoot the finish, but here the bike finds its true home. From the creator of The Miracle of Life, The Bunker and Hell’s Angels….comes Hell’s Angels 2! If you liked the first then you’ll love this. Biking goodness combined with some great platforming is a great combination and if that wasn’t enough, you get to visit God’s own home – heaven. I’ve been to heaven and hell and back again…on a motorcycle. If you even remotely enjoyed the first one, you are gonna love this sequel. Excellent depictions of the almighty lords from upstairs and downstairs, some awesome motorcycle sections and a healthy dose of platforming thrown in for good measure. What else does one look for in a level?Submarine Sabotage [From the Water Beta]wexfordian, Fullgorr and Jaeyden/wexfordian
http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r80/Zwollie/Eenfoto-6.jpg?t=1262537149This baby is the lovechild of the beautiful union of wexfordian, Fullgorr and Jaeyden. Your in a submarine thats flooding fast and to make matters worse theres an evil dude following you trying to finish you off. You have no hope.... only a chance at redemption. Can you take revenge on your enemy?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5f_hftbuMes

When three of the most brilliant creators in LBP get together to cook something up you know the result is going to be amazing. This powerhouse team produced one of the first beta levels to really explore some of the gameplay properties of water and did it with amazing visuals as well. The whole level is a race against drowning and the pace and scale really make it feel hectic and a bit claustrophobic at times. Love the sense of humor and technical achievement these guys managed to pull off as well. A do not miss level! One of the most polished levels to be brought over from the beta, Submarine Sabotage simply oozes with quality. This particular match up of creators seems perfect as I personally have not seen an OC level so far that looks like it was created by one individual, the styles just blend so well together. Besides the obvious visual treat, this level was created with one thing in mind, exploring the gameplay possibilities of water and in this department, it succeeds in a big way. Still as fresh today as it was in the beta and definitely worthy of your time. Three creators of the year, the best level from the Beta, and currently the best water level in LBP. Need anymore recommendation than that do you?I think what impressed me most about this level was that it was almost perfectly judged. Just as I thought I was high and dry, water would come flooding in and send me completely the wrong path. When I thought I was about to drown I'd find upon some bubbles. Just when I thought I was about to exit through a corridor, the whole thing sinks and the air bubbles that were only a few feet away were now just out of reach as I was dragged along by the tide. Fantastic stuff. When a team of creators, who have about a million sackies between them, create a level with water, you know it’s going to be quite epic and they don’t disappoint us here. Created in the Water Beta and now brought over to the main client for everyone to enjoy, this level should not be missed. As if you didn’t already know that. GruntosUK and NinjaMicWz Present: Twin TowersGrantosUK & NinjaMicWz/GruntosUK
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=540&pictureid=9897A mind numbing, thumb burning co-op survival challenge created in the OC beta by GruntosUK, NinjaMicWz, Killian, jackofcourse, xkappax, FullGorr and snowspot. Do you have what it takes to reach the top? And once there, will you share the spoils or take glory for yourself?

Proper co-op in levels was something that was so hard to judge due to a lack of being able to test the level (unless you had someone sitting beside you). Most levels that could boast that they were mp friendly simply meant that they wouldn't break when you brought a friend along. We are now in the early stages of the online create revolution and if this is a sign of things to come, The Little Big Planet is going to be a very exciting place to be indeed. Phenomenal stuff guys.If you and a friend are looking for fast paced, solid, complex and extremely challenging game play look no further than this power house level. It was one of the first big hits in the beta and soaked up a ton of play time from a lot of testers. It will challenge even hardcore players and I'm not ashamed to admit I've not been able to finish it yet. So if you live for challenge - this one is a must play.“A lot of blood, sweat, tears, lack of sleep and nicotine went into this level over the 3 days it took to create.”….the same can be said for those who played it. I hope you and your friend have time and willpower because you are going to need it for this one. An extremely challenging but rewarding buddy level that will take you to your absolute limits. If you’ll excuse me, I need to go recover my strength and revive my friend so we can have another go at this one. We’ll make it one day..sniff.Sometimes two creators just click, and when it happens they can stay up night and day perfecting one of the most amazing, complex and mind numbing levels ever seen by multiple sackboys. You’re going to need at least one friend to help you enjoy this, but it will be well worth it. LUNAR LANDER!CCubbage/CuzFeeshe
http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/vv309/CubbageC/LunarLander/Lunar1.jpgBased on the arcade classic, Lunar Lander is a unique challenge in the LittleBigPlanet universe! Learn to pilot a lander across the moon's surface, carefully navigating lunar caverns in an attempt to land safely! This level requires patience and precision piloting skills. Are you up to the challenge?

For players who love a challenge this level was made for you! You'll have to practice your piloting skills a few times to get the hang of it but once you've got it down your in for a treat. Great moon scape to explore and cool lights will try and distract you from your mission but stay focused or it's boom for you! Ever the innovator CCubbage brings you another unique experience you'll be addicted too soon enough.Lookup addictive in the thesaurus, every word describes this level to a tee. But would expect any less from the Master Of One More Go? Don't go into this level expecting it to be easy, it most certainly is not, but its a whole heck of fun. Highly recommended, again and again and again.....Trying to single handedly revive the 80's arcade game, Cabbage once again goes retro to re-produce another all time classic. He gets the floaty feel and drift of the lander absolutely spot on, as you would expect and the result is another one for the collection. One word to sum up the level? Ccubbage It took me a serious amount of hassle just to be able to get past the tutorial level but I got there through the help of a friend in the end. CCubbage returns with another arcade inspired level of nailbiting, controller-throwing madness. You need time and a whole lot of patience to even try and beat it, I haven’t so far, but there is no denying that the king of extremely tricky but fair arcade gameplay is still at large. Hail to the king, baby!!Little Gypsy Circusdajdaj03/dajdaj03
http://images.gamekult.com/blog/imgdb/000/000/442/895_2.jpgEnter the Gypsy Circus and meet its occupants! But you better watch out, it's a little crazy in there..!

I didn’t think twice before purchasing a ticket to this particular circus!! Dajdaj03 is pretty well known for his sense of style around here and rightly so, this level is an absolute beauty. Brilliantly animated characters really add to the experience, truly bringing this level to life. Well-crafted platforming elements that blend in with the environments are simply the icing on this delicious cake. An extremely polished ride with enjoyable gameplay throughout. A must see!!The undisputed king of stickers is back with another level and this one will blow your mind even more. Gorgeous pallet of colors, sublime layout and design, unique and memorable characters all combine into a stylish and very designed level experience. The artistry here is top notch and the horse mechanics work great. I can't recommend this level enough for the eye candy junkies - it's a work of art that has real trampolines! An absolute masterclass in character and set design. From the amazing horses to the quirky characters to the dimly, but colourfully lit circus tent with it's smoky haze, you won't see a better looking level for a long time. It's not all about the looks though as Dajdaj03 has made some great platforming to go along with it.Come on down to the gypsy circus for fun, games, fire and spikes! The show includes dancing horses and sackboy jumping over spikes with the main event being a runaway horse to the finish line. Everyone will enjoy the great sights, realistic circus tent and beautiful horses.City on the SeaTeebonesy/Teebonesy
http://i.imgur.com/KeahC.jpgYou knew it was coming with water: Titanic levels. Although, strictly speaking this is kind of a "Teebonesy" twist on a Titanic level. It's strange, moody, and ridiculous all at once.

I've seen a few Titanic inspired levels since water got released but this was the first and in my humble opinion, still the best. It definetely bears that "Teebonesy stamp", in other words...not what you would expect when going into a Titanic level at all but in the best possible way. Full of hilarious dialogue, beautiful visuals and exciting, diverse gameplay. If you can cope with your fellow gadders yelling "I'm king of the world" every now and then you could do no wrong with a trip or two aboard this magnificent vessel.Contrary to popular belief Titanic inspired levels don't have to be explosion ridden, fast paced, teen love stories full of all the sugary sentiments and tear jerking goodbyes that the popular film seems to have inspired. This is a perfect example of that. Teebonsey's level would be a thinking persons Titanic level I believe. Full of interesting commentaries on class and finance, smoking and cuisine… oh yea, and it's fun too! Tear yourself away from the visuals in order to survive but that's easier said than done when the ship's details are so great.Electric Banana Peeler FactoryTeebonesy/Teebonesy
http://i.imgur.com/YzQcF.jpgIt's a boat, it's a level, more than anything else it's just a playground. Explore its nooks and crannies, have fun checking it all out. Hope you guys enjoy it!

Words cannot describe this level…yet it is our job to do just that so we will give it our best shot.
It is weird, quirky and a brilliant showcase of good ol’ creativity by creator Teebonesy. Originally created for a challenge in the water beta, only Teebonesy could take a plain objective as ‘build us a boat’ and come up with something as "out there" as this. Breathtaking visuals with an exceptional amount of details crammed into every little corner and lots of fun tasks to keep you busy. It might not be a level in the strict sense of the word but it is definitely an expierence worth having.A typical Teebonesy level, quirky, gorgeous and literally bursting at the seems with plenty of things to do and dripping in sheer awesomeness. MM loved this level at the fan-meet, and if they are impressed then you certainly will be.It's one of those experiences that you just can't put into words. Play it with your friends, grab everything you can, flip every switch, explore every nook and cranny of this ultra detailed ship and I guarantee you'll leave the level with a smile. It's so quirky and fun I truly believe it's impossible not to love it if your looking for a good time. If you like eye candy it's a great level to oggle too, especially the garbage heaps and an awesome thunderstorm section. The SandcastleMrsSpookyBuz/MrsSpookyBuz
http://i722.photobucket.com/albums/ww227/MrsSpookyBuz/APhoto_32.jpgExplore the mystical giant sandcastle, collecting treasure as you go! Evade the lurking dangers, and try to reach the seashore, but watch out for the rising tide! Oh, and have FUN!

MrsSpookyBuz returns with what is arguably her most light hearted and plain cute level to date. Overall it is an excellent showcase of what can be achieved with the new water feature and objects from the Pirate Pack, besides that however, this level is also a tremendous amount of fun set in a colourful and beautifully rendered sandcastle. I was smiling all the way through this one and I'm pretty sure it will have the same effect on you, very enjoyable!!In this cold winter, you need something to remind you of the glorious summer and days spent on the beach, and this does the job perfectly. Very well designed, and sure to warm your heart, MrsSpookyBuz's journey through the Sandcastles contains all the hazards and point bubble combo collecting fun we've all come to expect from her levels.Super cute idea for a level and very fun to play, this lighthearted level from MrsSpookyBuz will have you smelling warm salt air and feeling the sun on your face. Very tightly designed with clean lines and relaxed feeling geometry look effortless but we all know how hard that is to pull off in an LBP level. It's a relaxing but adventurous feeling level that will be a hit with players of all ages and skills. All the way through this level I couldn't help but be reminded of adventure platformers on the SNES. From the bright n cute visuals to the excellent use of the new soundtrack, this was very far removed from the HyperCube/Sphere series as it can get. And it was great! There were one or two people disappointed with the quality shown by the Mm levels in the PotC pack. There was no such disappointment here and if Mm knew what was good for them, they'd have MrsSpookyBuz on the payroll asap.Take a day off from the new Ccubbage level and head on down to the beach. Unfortunately this isn’t going to be as easy as it sounds, but things never are when MrsSpookyBuz[z] is around. A beautifully sculpted sandcastle awaits sackboy’s exploration, but put on your swimming costume because there’s some excellent water challenges also thrown in for good measure. Dragons of Myth: EgyptMorgana25/Morgana25
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_9-10.jpgMake your way through the desert to the pyramid of the keeper of myth. Face the dangers of the pyramid and travel to the underworld to do battle with Apophis the serpent dragon. Many secrets to find and a winners scoreboard and a losing scoreboard. Hope you like it!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNt6k50g3rI

Remember the sadness you felt when you realised the Chroma Stones Chronicles were over? Well, prepare to change that frown into an expression of ultimate delight as Morgana25 is back with a new, exciting series. As you can guess by the title, this one is all about dragons and it will be very interesting to see how she interpretes the mystical creatures in each subsequent level. Solid and varied gameplay, filled with secrets, gorgeous graphics with her trademark lighting, a great looking endboss and a cool silhouette cutscene being the visual higlights. Can't wait to see where this series takes us in the future.Morgana's back with more superb lighting and slowdown! As is to be expected from the den mother, visuals are top notch and convey the ancient, dusty, claustrophobic tunnels of the pyramids brilliantly. This is also a fantasy however and Morgana does not hold back with the big showy stuff. There's a dragon for one (duh) and a rather awesome cutscene that whisks you up through the stars.Rumour has it this level was meant to be longer, but Morgana deleted 30% of it in order to add a few thousand more LED’s. Wait, I’ve just been told that 30% of the level would actually only allow for 106 more LED’s…thanks Morgana. Alas, this level is still an excellent length and still fits in bountiful secrets, a fight with a dragon, a huge pyramid and alternate endings. And it’s all from your favourite DenMother – what more could you want? All Mine! A Canyons Adventure!Comphermc/Comphermc
http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/5606/aphoto15.jpgTake an adventurous romp through these mysterious caverns. What secrets await you in these unknown mines? But be wary! Danger awaits your every step!

A new full blown level by Comphermc…I don’t know how he does it nor do I know how he manages to find the time for it, what with with his full time job of being an extremely active part of the community and all, but here it is. Polished to absolute perfection would be the best way to describe this level yet I fear it might still not be giving him enough credit. Everything is just so well done in this level with both gameplay & visuals being top notch. Without a doubt an instant classic and in my eyes the defining level that will elevate Comphermc to a spot among the top creators of Little Big Planet. This is as close to a perfectly balanced level as I've ever played in LBP. Amazing mastery of gameplay in terms of layer manipulation, pacing, difficulty, visuals and excitement is on display in every single inch of the screen. To say it's fun is a gross understatement. It's exciting, challenging, full of very cleverly hidden secrets and sports one of the best game badges I've ever seen. We all knew comphermc was a genius at logic and gameplay from his Apeture Science series, but this level catapults him into the upper echelon of LBP royalty in my opinion. Easily in the top levels I've ever played and if you don't check it out your missing out on a truly special and memorable experience.Such an awesome level. What starts out innocently enough as a race through some caverns turns into something much more. It soon turns into an epic journey of survival as you find yourself trapped with something after you, and it's a helluva good time trying to escape.Mm’s mine levels don’t hold a candle to this new adventure by Comph, not visually and not at all gameplay wise and that is a true testament to how amazing this level is. Each layer seems like it was manipulated by the God of LBP (Stefen Fry) and the platforming and race sections are something almost sub human. Suffice to say you should go and play this level… like right now! The Nostalgia of the InfiniteJump_Button/Jump_Button
http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/2976/aphoto.jpgI wanted to do more of a puzzle level Inspire Ico as well as the style and feeling of the games with my own.

Inspired by Ico but still a Jump_Button level at heart, we wouldn’t want it any other way. It holds all the things you’ve come to expect from this particular creator but as with all creative minds, Jump_button does not stand still and he introduces a fair bit of new stuff into the mix. It is hard not to be impressed when you walk around this foggy, mystical world surrounded by all these majestic pieces of architecture but you do need to pick up your jaw once in a while if you want to reach the scoreboard in your lifetime. Some of the puzzles found here are truly inspired with a new torch element being a wonderful little twist on his famous balloon bit. The first in a series you say? Bring it on!!This level is everything that we've come to expect from jump_button. You'll explore wonderfully vast, desolate and beuatiful landscapes, meeting a host of excellent characters and enemies on your way. There are a plenty of great puzzles, and another original gameplay mechanic, and the best thing is, he promises more.Cloaked in fog, the crumbling architecture you must scale to make it through in this latest Jump_Button level is truly beautiful. It does invoke the Ico vibe very much especially in the scaffolding sections. Not as flashy or colorful as his previous work but the quiet artistry shines through the mist and will leave you impressed. You know you're getting something special whenever you load up a jump_button level. And this is no different. As always, the artistry is flawless and really draws you into the world, the puzzles are satisfying and jump_button's track record of improving on concepts as time goes on hints at some amazing things to come.Very few levels have puzzles that cannot be described they’re so good, but this is one of them. The visuals are the same – you really have to see them to believe them, but not in traditional jump_button style because this time they’re much quieter and somehow more realistic. Make sure you don’t miss out on this one, or you’ll be missing out on one of the most immerging levels in LBP history.Space Sack's Adventures: The Blue PlanetRangerzero/Rangerzero
http://i454.photobucket.com/albums/qq262/RangerX_photos/SSadv02.jpgSpace Sack is our famous astronaut exploring the universe. Wait, you didn't know him? Well, now you do. Space Sack is really good at his job but he's really unlucky. Today Space Sack is attempting to land on "Blue Planet", a name his tremendously imaginative mind gave to it after noticing the blue color of that globe.

Rangerzero is back and faster than expected!! Being stranded on this foggy, blue alien planet is a joy for the senses as it is filled with imaginative creatures and cool, almost living, vegetation. The gameplay consist of some tricky yet rewarding platforming and a bunch of puzzlework that will make you trek back and forth this wonderous level with each new power-up you receive. Another winner in my book, add it to your play-list today!!Deep blue atmosphere greets you in this out of this world setting from RangerZero. Scalloped edged landscapes look alien and cool. The neat thing for me in this level was the backtracking after finding upgrade stickers and figuring out where and how to use them to access previously unavailable areas. The secrets are really well hidden and off the beaten path which makes the replay value go up for me. It's a neat level that you almost have to approach as one big puzzle to complete.Another level that transports you to another world and does it wonderfully. Immediately you're bathed in a blue hue that hides many secrets that are revealed as you progress. Another triumph from RangerZero that unfortunately has fallen foul of LBP's young demographic who have rated this 5 star level at a 3.Little Red Riding Sack and the Sneaky H4Her,Part 1!Mnniska/Mnniska
http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx162/Mnniska/APhoto-4.jpgYep! I am also entering the LBL Fairytale competition! For the past five weeks I have been creating this level. It's a Re-creation of the Classic Fairytale Little Red Riding Hood (LRRS stands for Little Red Riding Sack). So what you will see is Little Red Riding Sack walking into the woods..but what happens then? Will we meet Awesome Gameplay, will we meet Neat Scenery or will we meet a Wolf that Hungers for Hearts? ALL OF THE ABOVE!

Mnniska brings us an LBP-inspired take on the classic fairytale of little red riding hood. On top of the challenging and interesting puzzles, solid platforming and cute visuals , it also brings a lot of verbal and visual humour to the table and it does so in a big way with my personal highlight being a sudden change in character for the player which I thought was done in such a simple yet ingenious way. You’ll jump, you’ll grab, you’ll laugh, you’ll scratch your noggin a few times but most importantly…you’ll be having a wonderful time doing it all. This level felt like I was in an animated story at times. Very cleverly done twist on the story of Little Red Riding Hood will have you laughing your way to the scoreboard. Some cool platforming and colorful scenery are a solid base for the storyline. A fun level that will amuse players at any skill level or age.I can hardly remember a more enjoyable level than this. While it starts of very much like a 'Once upon a time' story, in soon shows its true colours and becomes a swashbuckling adventure with puzzles, traps and platforming galore. There's even a cameo of you and by you. If you can work that out.Attack of the BORG! "Part 1: The DiscoveryAJnKnox/AJnKnox
http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv147/ajnknoxville/AOTB%201/AOTB1-11.jpgYou are Ensign Logan on board the Science vessel - USS Discovery. You awaken in Sickbay to find the ship under red-alert. You must find out whats going on and fix it fast!

AJnKnox decided the first level in his well known Borg series wasn’t up to snuff so he decided to please us with a remake. All that we loved about the original is present and a heap of new stuff has been added making it all look & feel brand new once more and,in my eyes, making it a whole lot better. You don’t have to talk Klingon, Vulcan or whatever to get a kick out of this level. The only thing I can say to you when asked if you should play this level.…well, make it so ensign…make it so.I'll dare anyone who plays this remake of an already great level not to immediatly continue and play the rest, and I can certainly say you'll be in for a treat if you do. The lighting is gorgeous, the use of materials inspired, and there's some great turbo lift sections that give you a glimpse of whats to come later in the level. A great start to a great series that you can have the privilege of playing all 4 levels in the series in preperation for part 5.Much like the Star Trek franchise, AJnKnox has gone back to the beginning to reinterpret and update the first level of his epic Borg series. Personally I'm thrilled he's brought the streamlined, modern and oh so deliciously high tech looking style and platforming of his subsequent levels to this original one. You certainly don't have to be a fan of Star Trek to enjoy it and once you do play you may realize that when it comes to wanting to play the rest of his series, resistance is futile.Fear not, I won't be quoting Star Trek in my comments. However, I will say that comparing this level to how it was originally is testament to just how far AJnKnox has come as a creator. While the later levels in the series are amongst the best that the community has to offer, the original, though perfectly enjoyable, was rather dated in comparison. Cue the remake and with all the series at a similar high standard, AJnKox's levels now deserve to be held up by Star Trek fans as one of the best videogame interpretations of their beloved sci-fi in history.Hey...That's a Glorious Hole Right There!ElGueroGigante/ElGueroGigante
http://i814.photobucket.com/albums/zz63/xiv_mofo/APhoto_1-2.jpgRide a mine cart through a flooded hole thingy thing...In order to progress in the level, you need to activate various switches to open paths and lower the water level. Pretty easy platforming with multiple puzzles. Experienced players will not die much.

Water is really being explored these days and this level showcases yet another fun way of incorporating water into your level design. There is great gameplay to be found in this one and even though you basically have to clear the path for your minecart over and over again, it never reaches a point where it might get stale, all thanks to some ingenious puzzle/platform combos.I know, I know, just get past the level name, seriously just put it out of you mind right now and go play it . You'll understand what an awesome level it is. Great use of layers in terms of gameplay. Smartly designed challenges some featuring water that aren't your typical pull lever A to move piston B type of affair. Medium difficulty with generous checkpoints should make it accessible to players of all skills. Some very unique and cool stuff in this one.Hey, that’s a glorious level over there! Ok, nothing more on the title of this level, despite its apparent randomness this level is actually very good with some engaging puzzles, complex switch use and innovative ways to clear a path for a mine cart. Hey, there’s also a glorious amount of secrets to find if you like collecting stuff. Sorry, I promise no more puns. Go play the level before I start again. Hey, that’s a great recommend /sniped.The Wizard of Time and SpaceFullofwin/Elvenbane
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=2055&d=1262291875Being the wizard's apprentice won't normally get you a spot on cool pages...but what happens when an opportunity to be a hero presents itself? Borrow the wizard's powers to control time and space and make your way through this puzzle/platformer.

“Oooooooh”, ”Aaaaaaaah” &“Oh my God…” are just some of the random playerquotes from folks who played this level and I can only join in on their praise, this level is an absolute blast!! Packed with awesome gameplay gimmicks, a well written story, gorgeous visuals and some really cool characters designs, you can only be left with the feeling of wanting more, much more!! Thankfully the first in a series and one I will be following very closely….and yes, I’ll admit it, I also fell in love with the queen.I love the story in this level. It's packed with memorable characters and beautiful scenery. Lush vegetation, detailed castle rooms replete with beautiful queen and gorgeous chandeliers and an epic dragon design are a visual treat. Grabbing wizard hats will give you everything from air underwater to power over time itself. There's a great water puzzle section too. So can the wizard's apprentice step up to save the day, you'll have to play to find out.You know you're getting something good the second this level starts. Looking down onto a brilliantly realised potions room, a sleeping tiger gets the story started and from there it's just one brilliant moment after another. This is a must play level for everybody.AETHERNAUTS! "Maiden Voyage"coyote_blue/coyote_blue
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1096&pictureid=9892Welcome to Coyote Corps! We're a small salvage opration looking for a new Special Tactical Operative of Great Efficiency to round out our team. If travel, adventure, and occasional violence are your thing, apply today!

My funnybone is tingling!! Coyote_blue surprised me with this one, it is so off-beat yet…so ingenious. It had been a while since I heard that much laughter in a gadders-group that didn’t have to do anything with me falling into a pit of gas or missing an easy platform again. It contains a lot of LBP in-jokes and the cameo of one of our most famous female creators is inspired, see for yourself, it is quite hilarious!! I’m running out of space here and it seems I haven’t even touched anything remotely relating to gameplay….oh well, I’m sure my co-workers will take care of that and in the meantime I just might go play this one again for a jolly good laugh. The world of LBP comedy thanks you, Coyote!!From the creative mind of coyote_blue comes a funny, irreverent and different sort of LBP level. The story includes many a creator's gripe about the issues the LBP community at large has and some of the comments will have fellow creators laughing out loud at coyote_blue's interpretation of them. The platforming is solid but not too hard and there is a lot of variation in challenges from swinging, shooting and jumping all in varied settings. The cameos are really what make this level sparkle for me. Loved the homage to MrsSpookyBuz especially. I'd venture a guess she'd say, "get playing this level meat!"Bring on visible switches, clean platforming and some great humour because it’s time for another coyote_blue spotlighted level. This time around we’ve departed from his previous series and entered a whole new level of cool. And with a surprise guest, why would you want to miss this?More than anything in LBP, I like a level that makes me laugh, so this level from coyote_blue was just up my street. In jokes galore as well as some fantastic platforming and shooting makes sure the fun never stops in this great level. THE CRAZY AND MAGICAL MANUFACTORYthecooper8/thecooper8

Calling this level crazy and magical is an understatement. It becomes clear with the first few steps that you are in for something special. The twisted d?cor is something to behold as you explore the in and outside of this colourful factory by using warpgates and taking trips down assembly lines. This seems to be the spotlight of funnies as this one also holds a few surprises with a brilliant homage to Nintendo’s Animal Crossing being a personal favourite. It's like Dr. Seuss meets Willie Wonka in a fantasy factory that makes….. well, that's really best left to the level to tell. Colourful is an understatement when describing the visuals in this level. Every shade of the rainbow on the walls, the gears, the machinery, it's a visual treat everywhere you look. Some funny insider gaming jokes and plenty of things to do will amuse you as you make your way through this mysterious and yet very perky factory.Such a wonderful imagination must be behind this level. You really are transported to a magical place where nothing is what it seems. I absolutely adored this level and it put a huge smile on my face all day!Unearthed ParadiseEvanesced & KoRnDawwg/Evanesced
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_116.jpgLevel entry for the LBPC Online Create Contest for January 2010. Explore paradise and meet Carl, our Humanity-Hating Parrot friend! Made by Evanesced and myself, search Evanesced's PSN to check it out!

Well, Carl may have been silenced but this level still screams cool! Great material usage and the requisite awesome architecture from Korndawwg make for a great location for platforming goodness. Lots of ascensions to precarious platforms and sponges to swing around on keep the player ever moving towards the final watery area. Take the plunge, check this one out!KoRnDawwg and Evanesced seem to make a pretty good creative team as this level clearly demonstrates. Perfect material combinations, a whole lot of simple switches that trigger something spectacular and some good ol’ fashioned platform & sponge swinging. This level has a lot going for it so be sure to check it out. PS: R.I.P. Carl the humanity-hating parrot friend, december 2009 – January 2010. Silenced or not, you still didn't seem to get a break in life. The soul of the level was in the humanity hating parrot who sadly had to fly the nest after this level got moderated, so spare a thought for him now…. Moment over and now time for some juicy platforming, great mechanics and awesome visuals – and where better to find them than in this level by Evanesced and KoRnDawwg! So load up your playstation and get ready for something great from two great creators. The Buddy GemJoey & Chuck_18mp/XTrophx
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_117.jpgWalk through this colorful fantasy world and find the Buddy Gem to wake up the Queen that have been sleeping for years

I love fantasy levels, and this one is loaded with quirky creatures, wonderful lighting and some unique game play. Joey has a very unique style and this kind of subject matter lends itself to his whimsical and innocent style. Chuck's lights and detail work is really well done and nicely dresses up Joey's unique landscapes and characters. I just love that little white winged critter - I want one! So if lighthearted and unique sound great to you check this one out, bring a buddy!I was very impressed with this particular partnership, that’s for sure. Joey & Chuck complete each other quite well as I was wowed several times throughout this gorgeous looking adventure. Joey has a very specific style of his own and Chuck’s polishing and finishing touches to his environments take them up to a whole new level, the lighting is simply superb in this one. I don’t know who created the characters but they are well crafted and injected with a lot of personality. The gameplay consists of a mesh-up of several influences that works out brilliantly. I recommend you and a friend go on your own personal quest for the buddy gem soon.Sleeping BeautyTOBSn08/TOBSn08
http://i699.photobucket.com/albums/vv356/TOBSn08/EinFoto_3-1.jpgAfter 100 Years of Sleeping the castle around the Sleeping Beauty became a dangerous place, a hedge grew and let no one pass behind it, but now most of the thorns turned into roses and one Hero is on its way to wake up the sleeping beauty. But the witch that cursed her turned the castle into a perilious place.

Since one of our fellow community sites is running a fairytale contest right now, we are seeing a lot of “magical levels” these days but I’m not complaining in any way. TOBSn08 decided to have a go with the tale of Sleeping Beauty and he turned it into an 2-level extravaganza of epic mindblowing proportions. Both of them share the same organic, lush visuals and both of them also share the same sense of true danger with so many inventive & challenging gameplay elements squeezed in for you to conquer along the way. The creator must be commended for giving new meaning to the term “bomb survival”…and yes, I mean that in a very good way. Fast, frantic, gorgeous to look at...what is stopping you from playing these right now?Innovation takes a quantum leap in this pair of fantastic levels. Oh sure there's the obligatory running, jumping, and swinging while under the pressure of several race gates, but the combinations of these common level features express themselves in very uncommon ways and really show off the creativity of TOBSn08. The bomb survival level is especially fresh feeling and something I've never seen in LBP before. It's simply brilliant and could redeem the phrase "bomb survival" singlehandedly. Tons of gameplay is packed into these charming levels that I couldn't recommend more!Jack Sack and the BeanstalkAselrahc/Aselrahc
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_114.jpgYou've given away a perfectly good cow for a handful of beans and someone has stolen all the point bubbles in Little Big Planet! Climb the beanstalk to solve the mystery and make things right!]

Fairy tale levels are sprouting up all over LBP and Aselrahc's contribution to the storybook is a take on Jack and the Beanstalk. A funny interpretation of the classic tale where gold has little meaning but score bubbles, now that's worth facing some danger over. A gorgeous sculpted beanstalk, lovely layered clouds and some infamous characters from the fairy tale are all done beautifully, if a bit silly at times. Wo-ho-hooow, the fairy tale levels are really taking over LBP at this point. Aselrahc chose the story of Jack and the beanstalk and turned it into a lighthearted, goofy adventure on a quest to regain bubbles. A funny take on the famous story that will have you climbing an enormous beanstalk and exploring a giants’ castle with some very quirky residents inside. Sweet visuals and solid gameplay all around, definitely added to my book of greatest LBP fairy tales. Fee Fi Fo Fum, I smell the fluff of a Sackboy! Thankfully Aselrahc's level creation is better than my rhyming and the result is this polished take on the classic fairy tale. I have to say that whoever came up with this fairy tale contest desrves my thanks as the result has been some superb levels.Kikaiwa: Tied downVanemiera/Vanemiera
http://i629.photobucket.com/albums/uu15/Morgana25_photos/APhoto_113.jpgThis level is all about the old jetpack packed into a nice Kikaiwa-box. Work with the tether or it'll work against you.

Another genius level from Vanemiera in his Kikaiwa series. Brilliant puzzles involving a tethered jetpack you must move throughout a series of rooms and obstacles to progress. It starts out fairly easy but ramps up in difficulty the further you go. Not for players lacking a bit of gray matter between the ears, it's a thinker of a level and even when you know what to do the design is so tightly done there's little room for error. Very challenging and very rewarding when you finally figure out what needs to be done. Highly recommended for players who like a little conundrum with their level play. Now I gotta go get some rest, between this level and the number of levels in this spotlight I think my brain is fried!
This one caught all of us by surprise but seriously, what better way to end this massive spotlight then with a new level by one of our most respected users? Vanemiera is back and he has not lost any of his edge since this just might be the best thing he has ever done. Every single puzzle is an absolute stroke of genius. The concept of dragging around a “companion sphere” by use of a tethered jetpack is brilliant to begin with but the way the puzzles are set up and excecuted is simply mindblowing at times. The difficulty builds up nicely and you will need the full power of your noggin if you want to see this one through. Excellent stuff!!

Wow, what a huge list - it just shows the mettle of LBPC members!

Firstly, thank you so much for the Spotlight - I'm really touched. After falling down stairs and injuring my back a few weeks ago, playing and creating on LBP was about the only thing I could do. The Sandcastle level was the result of 3 days pain! Thank you.

Second, in my humble opinion, this Spotlight is possibly THE best of them all. Seriously. The levels are fantastic - there are a few from some of my favourite creators, and some from those who I don't know too well, but will now! Great stuff.

Finally, and most important, you Spotlight team have obviously had your work cut out over the past two weeks! I know that a LOT of people are very grateful for all your hard work, as am I. Your dedication and enthusiasm is much appreciated, and you should all be very proud of what you do.

Thanks very much.

Well, my wife has kindly allowed me to post! lol

First up, great Spotlight this one. In the past few weeks, I've been chased by dragons, got sent into space, found myself on a blue planet, had a ride in a few mine carts, floated over some temples, tried to loony land, and got lost in a sandcastle!

Massive thanks to all creators for letting me enjoy your fabulous work, and a heap of praise to the Spotlighters for letting everyone know what they're missing out on.

Well done.

Wooooow!... Thank you sooo much for the spotlight!!
Honestly, when I finished this level, I was a bit embarassed of having made something like a race level. And I thought the best thing was not telling to anybody
Luckly I did, and looks like few people liked it!!
Thanks to the spotligh team!
Congrats to the rest of creators, I've only played tree levels of this spotlight and they were a-m-a-z-i-n-g.
Thanks again!

Holy cow, that list is huge. I started out thinking I might have played most of them. That feeing wore off quickly. Looking forward to a week worth of plowing through awesome.

And thanks again for the recognition. More than any stars and hearts, getting noticed here is a real treat. I'm especially psyched to hear so many people actually enjoying the dialogue.

Grats to all the other creators...I'll be seeing you guys on your comment boards soon.

Holy crap! As many have already noted, that is a huge list! I've played a handful of them and they were all great, so I can't wait to see the rest. Alas, I have no PS3 for the next week, so I will have some serious catching up to do.

And what a herculean effort from our Spotlight Crew, eh? What was the count? 23 levels? Whew!! Nice job gang - we as a community are deeply indebted to you.

Wow.... amazing list! And I was surprised to see my "knuckle-grinding-frustration-inducing-throw-your-remote-through-the-TV" level get spotlighted. Thanks to the ones who gave me the benefit of the doubt and suffered through the 45 minute learning curve time! Especially thanks to TripleTremelo and TheJollyRajah... who proved that it could not only be played, but mastered.

I've played all but a couple on this list, and I am totally amazed - LBP is still going strong and people are still churning out fantastic content over a year later.

I'll try to make my next one a bit easier...

Yaayy!! First Spotlight! I'm glad this wonderful level has been played many times(for me) and appreciated that much!
I will never say it enough times, working with Joey was a total positive twist in my LBP experience, I met some really fun and good people, I had the chance to learn a lot by working with my buddy and I'm sure he feels the same.

This wasn't simply a spotlight, it was an opportunity to get known and knowing you've been spotlighted was pretty cool. I was so excited! I PWND some serious noobs at Modern Warfare2 with my fiery and excited mind.

Thank you to everybody from the Spotlight team, all the players who hearted our level and played it as well.

...I'm now a spotlighted creator

Congratulations to all of the spotlighted creators. Quite a few of my favorite creators have been spotlighted this round and as mentioned before by previous posters, this spotlight (like the others before it) once again shows how this LBPC community consistently produces the most high caliber levels available on the planet. Thank you to each of the creators, each and every one of these levels are just amazing and astounding.

Something that has been said numerous times before, but cannot be said enough times and shall continue to be said is, WOW Spotlight Team, thank you!!! Your tireless work and impeccable tastes makes the community spotlight one of the main features of this site and without you, I don't know how or if I would have the pleasure of playing all of these excellent levels.

Usually, I forget to post on the community spotlight threads because as soon as the new one comes out, I get so excited I practically trip over myself to get to the PS3 so I can play them.... so I had to make a note to myself this time!

Oh, wow. This has to be the longest spotlight to date, or at least it is the longest I do remember. And I thik I've been following them since 8# or something like that...

I would say the usual: Congratulate everybody for getting their levels up there and told them to keep working so... amazaingly!

But this time, that typical praise of mine looks like it gets short, that it doesn't cover such an special spotlight. I mean, seriously, this very afternoon I played trough most of those, and even if a this point I feel that tehre are no new gameplay elements/mechanics that can surprise me anymore, what I found rather, err, well, surprising, was how those levels felt AS A COLLECTIVE.

What I'm trying to say is that most of the levels in this spotlights are individually beautifully crafted gems, in which their creators poured every bit of their imagination. But when you go play trough a bunch of them, your breath is taken away. Seriously. I think that it was after playing 3 levels (the nostalgia of the infinite, all mine and that's a glorious hole right here) that I played Morgana's one. At that point, after having had such an elevated LBPC dosis, I started to enjoy every level like if it was the very first one; I felt the same as when I played the first garden levels, if you know what I mean.

So I rushed trough Aselrhac's level, TOBS's level, Joey's & Chuck's level (again, Joey!), Unearthed and the Space and Time wizard, and while doing so, oh boy, I had so much fun. I just don't remember having THAT much fun in LBP, even if I played those alone.

In conclusion, I might not be the most active member in here, neither the most talkative, fun or blastingly amazing in create mode, but I want to sincerely thank both the community (LBPC FTW!) and the individuals for freely awarding me with the amazing experience that was playing trough those LBP gems.

Thanks for, after a year of having it bought, making me still enjoy LBP as much as the very first day, LBPC people, creators, non creators, SPOTLIGHTERS (you know who you are!) and about everybody who I come across in this site!

I would agree. I was really gobsmacked by this list. It may be difficult to appreciate what a spotlight series does for other players, as you're making it. Sitting down and playing 5, 10, or 20 hits in a row restores my faith in this game's potential every two weeks.

I'm not really the competitive sort, either, so it's a real treat to see other people throw down their respective gauntlets of awesome and force me to come up with an answer. As of right now, especially, comphermc's "All Mine!" is a humbling experience...I would have never built anything like that 3 lap race. Ditto for several of the others, and I haven't even finished the list!

HOW ??

Yes thats all I can come up with after playing most of the levels.

I bought the Goty edition went through the tutorial and I thought this is easy. Bolts, Pistons, Colours, Stickers, Emitter like 20-30 simple things to work with.

But what these 23 creators have done with those tools.... all I can say is HOW?? I have played like 15 of them till now and couldn't wait to post here.

The spotlight is a great idea cause I never knew most of the creators existed.

Thanx LBPC Looking for many more spotlights to come and just hope the past 29 episodes are intact on the site cause I wanna go through each and every one of them.

I personally am thinking to keep a Creator database so that I don't miss their work in the future.

Cool - glad your liking it!

There is an archive of the past spotlights you can access.

Wow!!
What a great big giant list!! I'm really excited to play every one of these levels!! And also surprised and humbled to find my Jack Sack in the list! It was many of the people I've met on this site who helped me get it polished up to where it is!! Couldn't have done it without you guys!! Keep Creating!!

I've watched videos of some of these - Nostalgia of the Infinite and Sandcastle... truly awesome levels, and I see someone like Vanemiera is back (who if I was around I would demand that we do a jetpack and paintinator coop cocreate level together heh) - keep my backlog list growing everybody and thanks for keeping me alive 2010-01-13 15:08:00

Man alive!! How much time do you think I have??!! LOL! It'll take me a year to get through all these at the rate I'm going but they look truly wonderful and I'm very excited to get started.

I second this sentiment. Are you peoples crazy?? Stop making awesome levels! I'm barely around anymore (but still around), I'm already backlogged on previous spotlight levels. I've got good friends here with new levels that I haven't even played yet. So I'm going to formally request that EVERYONE STOP making such awesome levels right away, until further notice.

And spotlight crew, I really appreciate the awesome effort you put in to consistently playing such an unimaginable number of levels, and I realize that you group are undoubtedly the BEST of the LBP community. But it's time to stop until further notice. It's gotten out of hand. There are now officially way too many clearly incredible levels to play, so for the time being, you're all laid off, creators and spotlight team alike. I know it's tough news. I'll send you the paperwork for your unemployment insurance. I'm sorry it had to come to this.

Thanks Teebonesy - But like the US Postal service neither water, nor bomb survivials nor insane amounts of levels to slog through shall keep us from finding the best of the best out there.... so you don't have to I'm still interested in the unemployment insurance though..... regular job hasn't been holding up well against my LBP addiction j/k 2010-01-20 01:11:00

I second this (third this?). I'm also supplying your unemployment insurance: a peanut a day for each of you, and a healthy dose of pure chaos as a bonus.

I've gone into your job records, and it appears none of you ever received any payment for any work on these spotlights. As such, I assume that a healthy supply of pure evil and delicious peanuts would be more then enough to convince you to quit your jobs.

WOW oh WOW! What a spotlight! I hadn't been on the forums since last week and when I jump back on and see this thing it's awesome. I actually played about 80% of these levels prior to even seeing the spotlight and all I can say is....Spot on! This one oooozes with great stuff. You know it's a good spotlight when you log on and you've already hearted practically every level picked. Good job guys.2010-01-23 00:40:00
