The screenshots look very nice indeed!! The silhouette for the Wolf looks very promising.

I'm adding this one to my playlist for tonight.

This is a beautifully constructed level. Gorgeous lighting, wonderful characters and a surreal, ominous fairy tale atmosphere.

There's lots to do - exploration, puzzle solving and platforming - but the star of the show is the wolf. What a brilliant creation, in all its forms!

I enjoyed this from cinematic opening to its epic chase ending. Good stuff!

You are one of those creators who may slip beneath the radar, and it's a great shame because your imagination coupled with your creativity and artistry never cease to amaze me.

Very well done.

I played this level yesterday and i can see why Mrs S likes it so much. Theres alot of cool little clever parts that i loved. On the other hand, there is parts that I feal need work. All things considered it is a good level. My favorite part is the music that played after i fed that hungry duck. XD classic2010-01-10 00:32:00

Excellent level. The standard is set right from the start with the scene with the hunters with their huge Russian beards, lol! Then a journey through beautiful snow scenes with a growing sense of lurking menace; varied nicely too with the fog and darkness. I agree with MrsSB that the wolf is superb as he appears in all his different guises. My favourite was one of his earliest appearances when he suddenly drops down to a ledge above your head.

There were some lovely touches of humour too to vary the tone. The cat, hungry duck and grumpy granddad were all great fun. The helpful robin was also a nice addition. I enjoyed the section where he flies you up to the next level.

Some fun gameplay too ? a nice combination of platforming and puzzles and a great chase as climax to the level, though that wolf is pretty merciless! Nice touch to make the checkpoint in the chase the robin so that it ties in with the story where the bird flies around the wolf?s head to distract him.

Thank you for a fun experience and a visual treat. And the snippet of Prokofiev?s music was beautifully done and the level would not have been complete without it.

5 stars and hearted.

Heyy, I played it some days ago, glad finding this thread

It was enjoyable, and I found it odd. But, according to me, here, " odd " would mean original This was neat, and I had never felt something like that before playing your level. It was like...like reading a book. I felt like I was reading a book, yes.
The scenery is very neat, and indeed, the Wolf is really well-done, anywhere it is, it's classy, and charismatic, haha ! You managed to make me hate it in the part of the Wolf-Dog-Duck (poor dog and duck), but make me feel sorry for it at the end.
I like the part with the bird and the duck too, that was freaking funny

So, great level, this contest is full of surprises ! ...Of awesome surprises :arg:

(Wow, what a strange comment I wrote  )

Hiya,
The atmosphere here was fantastic. The scenery was great - especially in the early sections walking between mountains. You had a great variety of gameplay and I really enjoyed the level. The animation on all the characters was topnotch and the way you put sound effects on EVERYTHING was really good.

A few suggestions....
I thought the wolf chase at the end was very chaotic - clarie and I couldnt really see what was happening, and when I spawned I would fall straight through the scenery onto some rather plain horizontal gas. I do like 'skulldozer' sections normally, but this one needs a bit of work I think.
The staircases in the house were quite tricky to climb up. We both liked sliding down the railing (good soundeffect!) - but we sometimes had to take several attempts to get up because we would aaccidently slide down. - could we get a slightly bigger gap between stair and railing?
Lastly, right at the end of the level, I thought you had to walk left away from the wolf to get to the exit. The speech bubbles kept pulling me back and eventually the exit appeared. By the time this happened I was quite far off to the left and had to walk back. Perhaps you can block the players exit (rock / invisible DM ) so it's clear you have to stay with the wolf.

Great level and I will check out some more of your work.
I released my own level on Sunday 'in pursuit of the meddling magpie'. If you have time to play it, it would be great to hear what you think.

I greatly appreciate the positive feedback, i'm happy folks are enjoying this level Some things are a bit rough around the edges and the chase is rough (but aceable after a few goes like skulldozer is). I'm also grateful for the tweaking suggestions (like the steps). I'll be sure to leave some feedback on your suggestions, and sorry if I havent thanked anybody in the past (I didnt press the right darn buttons). Oh two things, the Peter theme music was very kindly put together by Mr Buzby and all that space at the end of the level is there so sacks can swing on the wolf (and rescue the belly bound duck)2010-01-12 03:15:00

This level is quite a treat. I love your sense of humor and how well it comes through all of your levels.

The visuals were great, from the opening scene to the end where you have to free ducky from the tummy of the wolf, I especially loved how you paid attention to every little detail, from the doors creaking to the jingle when sliding down the stairs, not to mention the rocking chair! I also love the grandness of the snow hills in the beginning and how you were able to create a tumbling type effect. Oh, I should also mention how superb your set up of the bubbles are in the house. Awesome stuff!

The last chase scene was great, it really sped up the flow of the level and stressed me out immensely, but in a good way! And gramps, well, isn't he quite a character - just like someone else I know.

Absolutely loved it, perfectly captured the fairytale feel.
