80-Motor Bolt; .025 Emmiter!?

Archive: 23 posts

While I was playing with my anonymous friend he showed me something in create mode that scared the hell out of me. An emmiter faster than .1 ....

I have no idea how he did it and he says he won't tell me unless I give him some amazing glitch in return. I've tested the emmiter and it registers with a speed of .0 when you click on it, but by using paintballs aimed at paint switches, I've found out it's much, much faster than .0, equaling exactly .025 .

Then, he showed me an "80" motor bolt, faster than 60. If you try to change the speed while you tweak it, it flicks back to "60".

Lastly, he showed me glitched backgroundless stickers. It's the only one I know how to do because it's basically a completely random profile glitch, but still, he had dozens. An MM logo without a background, pictures of sackpeople with transparent backgrounds, and even fake prize bubbles that use backgroundless stickers of pictures of objects taken in create mode.

I keep begging for him to tell me how he did any of it and he says he has more.

But, it makes me mad that people like him hold this information from the LBP community that could absolutely change a lot of things in LBP. You can tell yourself "80" or ".1" is fast enough but when you think of the creativity of lbp'ers along with a few amazing possibilities that could never be done without regular speeds before you should hopefully see what I see, that this kind of glitch is massive.

The backgroundless stickers, too. We could finally make more gradients, logos, and patterns like dust splatch and rust that LBP needs much, much more of. I've even been trying to get a hold of an LBPCentral sticker that's completely backgroundless, like an MM sticker.

What do you think about all this? :eek:

how did you verify the interval as .025?2010-01-09 01:12:00

I tested by emmiting paintballs at paint switches.2010-01-09 01:14:00

It seems like interesting glitches (especially the stickers) but if he's not telling us then there's not much more to say about this all.

What's good about USEFUL glitches is that it can help the community voice out their opinion on new possible feature. You know, like with the background glitch: It's used by so many people that it just goes to say to Media Molecule that we want a background editor as a feature and not a glitch. See what I mean? So this guy is crazy if he keeps the sticker glitch a secret, he's shooting the community in the foot actually.

It actually says .0, which doesn't make any sense. It's definitely crazy.

Thanks for agreeing! I hought about how the background glitch changed everything so this is very true.

Can you get a 120 speed motor bolt by stacking two 60 motor bolts? Try stacking even more.

That would solve one problem.

As for the background-less stickers, I WANT IT! Seriously, that would be awesome, but I've heard it's completely random. Perhaps he just found a bunch throughout the community?

Has anyone done a community level search for these glitches? Maybe someone is giving out the answer somewhere.2010-01-09 01:37:00

My (other) friend has the backgroundless sticker glitch which is how I know about it. It's random every log-in. About one out of ten times he logs in he gets the glitch until he logs off again. Any picture he takes that's in front of unstickered cardboard is backgroundless. And here's what's interestig, if you upload them online they appear with grey checkerboard patterns. If you work with images you'll know that's what backgroundless .gif's have in them.2010-01-09 01:37:00

So should I be hiding the emitter I found with infinite emit rate on it? Or the speech bubbles I have with pink text? (I actually told people here about that a long time ago, but nobody seemed to care.) Perhaps your friend got these items from Mm objects like I did.2010-01-09 04:33:00

You have speech bubbles with pink text? Why does everyone keep theese awesome things away from the rest of us?

Yeah I'd imagine they're from media molecile objects. i know for a fact that the motor bolt is from one of the steeds.

@ warlord_evil... how have your attempts to change what the pink text says gone?

I'm agreeing with the bolt and emitter coming from MM Objects.2010-01-09 13:50:00

@ warlord_evil... how have your attempts to change what the pink text says gone?

I got the text from two Mm objects that still had magic mouths on them that didn't have the text removed.

The text looks something like this when I edit it:
AFRICA=MAIN=MERKATKINGDOM=34582
I'll try to look at it again to get what it looks like exactly. I think if you enter the direct text into a normal speech bubble, it should still work.

I'm guessing it was made like that so that if the game detected that the user had the game's language in another language, then it could easily change what the text was.

I'm also wondering if it's possible to look at the original text and change it to a different version, like this:
AFRICA=MAIN=MERKATKINGDOM=34582 to
EUROPE=MAIN=SKATETOFREEDOM=998345
The random numbers are a problem though.

Interesting... which character was the mouth originally taken from? I'm guessing it was the meerkat mum or something?2010-01-09 16:13:00

I know the guy that made some stickers with no background but he will not tell me how It's done!
I asked him like this:
-how do you do that? (me)
-I will crush you! (him)

I know someone who did it, but he says he can't make them anymore since the last big patch.

Have I not said I know exactly how backgroundless stickers are made?

And my (other) friend showed me how to make them right in front of me, recently.

And warlord, your infinite emmiter is different than mine. But I'll try to experiment with it.

And I doubt eitther the motor bolt or the emmiter are from MM objects. I secretly saved them (lol) and niether of them say that MM studio is a contributor in their menus.

Yikes, proof! :eek:

My friend took a pic of my aircraft carrier while the glitch was activated. It's a bit fuzzy but they're always like that unless you take a couple reatakes, ehich he didn't do.

Yup, grey checkerboard is a transparency placeholder in image formats that support it, like .gif and .png. I'm assuming the stickers made by Mm use the exact same transparency thing too...

So, Motor Bolts only go up to 60.0 normally? Interesting. I bet there's a whole world of glitches out there in the LittleBigGalaxy, just waiting to be discovered by the community, but the discoverers want to keep them for themselves... Stuff like this could open up whole new worlds of creation, such as the 3D Glitch created a whole genre of levels.

(And I always thought the pink text was done like "Your text here" or something.)
