Action against H4H
Archive: 25 posts
Does anyone know of any actions Media Molecule (or other) is taking against H4H? I saw a '2000 AD' DLC poster where Judge Dredd was crushing a block with 'H4H' written on it. Are there any more? :hero: | 2010-01-08 09:28:00 Author: supermechaninja Posts: 8 |
Well there have been a few levels, a few threads, MM don't seem in much of a hurry to get rid of it. This thread should be in the "Everything Else LittleBigPlanet," section. | 2010-01-08 10:11:00 Author: olit123 Posts: 1341 |
I think Mm is interested in people playing their game regardless if they are H4H, F4F, or S4S (snowcones for snowcones) etc.. They make their money when folks purchase their game and DLC. They probably wish H4H didn't exist and people spent their time making better and better levels as we all do, but wishing it so hasn't exactly stopped it in over a year. Sorta like if they sold cereal. They would rather you enjoy it as the yummy food it is, but if you bought it to pour it on your head, or keep icy sidewalks from being slippery.... oh well! A box sold is still a box sold. | 2010-01-08 11:29:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
There's nothing they can do to get rid of it. All they can do is try their best to stop well made levels from falling into the background and i think they've made a pretty good effort so far. These communities are the best places to find them though really. If Mm started banning anyone who said H4H or whatever it'd just spell the end to the majority of LBP's audience. It'd be like marketing suicide i guess Not to mention the bad reputation they'd get for it. | 2010-01-08 11:41:00 Author: Dexiro Posts: 2100 |

The whole MGS DLC? | 2010-01-08 13:54:00 Author: Foofles Posts: 2278 |
It's interesting everyone has taken that to be "MM crushing H4H". That H4H block doesn't seem very crushed to me. Maybe it's an indication that H4H can't be crushed and MM know that - even judge dredd can't crush it, so all attempts to are futile. Maybe it's an even more subtle message. Judge Dredd is standing on that H4H block, so you could say it is supporting him. In the same way that H4H is arguably supporting the DLC market (judge dredd was DLC ya), by creating more activity in the community, leading to a more popular game and more units of DLC sold. Maybe this is MM's way of thanking the H4Hers for their continued support of DLC? Yup | 2010-01-08 14:01:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
The best action to take against H4H... is to ignore it. Better to spend efforts trying to find and encourage good authors than wasting that effort trying to stop "heart" addicts, no? | 2010-01-08 14:05:00 Author: Gilgamesh Posts: 2536 |
S4S anyone? | 2010-01-08 14:15:00 Author: Coxy224 Posts: 2645 |
Sorta like if they sold cereal. They would rather you enjoy it as the yummy food it is, but if you bought it to pour it on your head, or keep icy sidewalks from being slippery.... oh well! A box sold is still a box sold. Yeah, MM should make cereal and call it "Sacky-O's"! The whole grain cereal shaped like a sackboy! S4S anyone? Sure! How should i get my snowcone to you? Post or email? Yes you can send snowcone's in emails now too! | 2010-01-08 18:36:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
H4H isn't all that bad anyway, use it to spot bad levels | 2010-01-08 19:15:00 Author: Dexiro Posts: 2100 |
Yeah, I don't really care about H4H now, I only did when I actually bothered to search through the never ending line of them to find decent levels in game. Now I just find out about them here. I think what this game does need is a 'Spotlighted Levels' section, where all the levels that are worth playing, like the ones from this community are immortalised. =D | 2010-01-08 22:32:00 Author: olit123 Posts: 1341 |
S4S anyone? I'm in! Wait, you're not saying that just to get a free snowcone from me, are you? I'm wise to your antics, Coxy. | 2010-01-09 21:13:00 Author: dandygandy2704 Posts: 1002 |

Yup rtm... you place so much of a let-down in your interpretation... that's such a depressing way to see... as for combating H4H, keep up the good work and don't take notice of the bad. | 2010-01-10 10:50:00 Author: TheLawnStink Posts: 98 |
sex for sex? sodium for sale? support frigid sisters? . I wouldn't mind some sodium, though. That stuff is fun when you throw it in water. | 2010-01-10 15:12:00 Author: dandygandy2704 Posts: 1002 |

Besides, even if Mm did start instabanning anyone who said H4H, that would also instaban the people who made anti-H4H levels. And some of those ones are brilliant. "snocones 4 snocones"... why did I read that as Snowclones 4 Snowclones? Probably spending too much time on tvtropes... | 2010-01-12 04:26:00 Author: KimuraOkagawa Posts: 19 |

Yup i agree with the first paragraph but not the second...i mean how do H4Her support anything they create nothing...a blank level and put H4H in a speech bubble...any H4H thing i ever saw was pointless... and F4F isn't that feedback for feedback that is actually a productive exchange H4H helps no one...but it can't be crushed unfortunatley | 2010-01-12 05:43:00 Author: Unknown User |

LBP central would make such a great partner with MM MM could use the information they get from here to put all the spotlighted levels in one easy to find tab on the game | 2010-01-12 05:51:00 Author: Unknown User |
i agree with the first paragraph but not the second...i mean how do H4Her support anything they create nothing...a blank level and put H4H in a speech bubble...any H4H thing i ever saw was pointless... Well, for starters, I was actually joking Secondly, the logical progression from H2H -> supporting the game is quite simple. H4Hers form a large proportion of the userbase. They are customers and many of them buy DLC. This supports the game in a very, very tangible way. "Crushing" H4H would alienate a big chunk of the community, reducing revenues and thus reducing the amount of new content developed. Just so you know for future, there is a little multi-quote button down in the bottom right of each post (looks like "+). It's quite handy if need quotes from multiple people | 2010-01-12 08:12:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
