LBP's First Real Snowboarding Experiencejbpuffinstuff
I have managed to create the perefect snowboard design. perfect in that it responds to the player. im on to something big. i can do single double tripple flips, manuals, stalls and other tricks. soon id like to have a video that demonstrates its full potential. make sure to restart if u lose ur board. go big! by the way, there is a secret area in the level. ill show you if you catch me on. if u guys see me board, you will know the real potential
of what can be done. the level is so compact visuals and more space in the beggining is imposible. id like to give an explanation but those who learn to board can come right in and get to boarding. i dont want them to get snagged with cuts scenes. its a double sided sword. i find grabing the back half of the board is the place to be for learning it. i pulled a nose manual across that rail the other day and it felt good. underneath a few bugs which are only level design based i think ive found a diamond in the rough. i could make a million different snowboarding levels and situations and my board would make them work to those who know how to use it. theres a lot i would like to do, i wish someone would pay me for this id do it everyday. id like to put sensors switches on the boards to trigger obsticals infront of you and make a level with 3 boards. maybe in time, what little time i do get to play and edit ive been workin on my next level titled EPIC ADVENTURE, which im really excited about. play with me some time and i'll show you how to board, my up and coming epic adventure level, and maybe even the secret area in this snowboarding level. i appreciate you guys checking out my level, since my sb level came out ive been showing people one at a time through the game. im pleased to know that people might see it through this site.

thanks, yeah i know the level could look better but its so fast paced animations would bearly show. n yes the board takes getting use to. try holding it slightly behind the middle in the back, also flipping the board over when underneath can be achieved by jumping and letting go of grab. i apreciate you trying it out id love to demonstrate its true capabilities to you some time send me a friend request. id like ur opinions on what im working on2010-01-09 05:09:00

Its good that you're telling people how to use it, but I'd suggest you put that in the level, so that people will know how to use it. The majority of people who play it won't have read this, so you should really put instructions in your level.2010-01-09 05:31:00

When I played earlier, there was a sign showing where to grab, but I found it a bit more difficult to control while holding in that area.
Overall, I really enjoyed sliding down the slopes, nice work.

I left a similar comment at the level itself, but it bears repeating here: I suggest peach floaty and a heavier underside. Sackboy weighs 15 "units", and grabbing a lighter object while flying is going to flip the object upside down.

I went and fiddled with this idea a bit and, using glass, small grid on, semicircle tool at smallest bump, I made a glass bottom for a peach floaty board about the same size as yours. This makes the board stay on the ground, but just barely. More importantly, the board turns slowly glass-side-down as it falls. This might reduce the number of flips possible, but will hopefully increase the amount of player control.

I agree with Arion that the slopes were well built, and fun to slide.

I found it rather difficult to play, honestly. When I finally got the hang of it, it was quite fun and unique, but sometimes to board would just stop halfway into a pit, killing my sackboy. Not bad at all though, I definitely enjoyed it.2010-01-09 22:27:00
