I think part of the problem with the thermometer is that some creators can't get all of their ideas into a level without filling up the thermometer. In some cases, this can be helped by breaking it into parts. Sure, some levels already do that, but, unless I'm mistaken, you just have to tell somebody "search for part 2!". A playlist/queues system would help this. If it does exist, its just underused/not visible enough - I should be able to search for playlists specifically, and do stuff like send them to my friends. That would maximize the effectiveness of stuff like the Community Showcase - whenever it is released, the creators could just make a playlist out of it. Or other arbitrary groupings of levels - for instance, if I wanted to maintain a playlist of the best retro game remakes to send to people. Furthermore, the user should really be able to make these playlists on their computer / browsing the internet. This ties into the larger problem of the lack of a useful web interface to the game. If we could look at levels on an official web portal, and add them to a queue for when we start up the game again, the interface problems in the game wouldn't matter so much.

You could give away a key on level completion and you will be taken to a page which shows all levels linked by that. I suspect there is a new method but I'm not up to speed on most things... someone else enlighten us!

I'm pretty sure there is a web portal coming, the people at Media Molecule have mentioned it a great deal of times in interviews. Also, another thing in-game that shows there will be a tool that allows you to create a list of levels. Is a greyed out option when you select somebodies profile labelled 'My Queue,' so expect something to do with this really quite soon since they dropped it in the latest patch that contained water. Also, I would really like this ability to create playlists. I'm not sure that it is coming but it might come around sometime.
