You said you like all kinds of music, but all those are fairly close together as these things go - can you stretch it a little?

What about Pink Floyd? Tchaikovsky?

You mentioned you don't like country, so I'm not sure if you'll enjoy blues-rock but Lies by the Black Keys seems like a nice entry song into the band, but if you're looking for a special song to impress the ladies, I would recommend "The Flame" or "When the Lights Go out."

Hope ya like them. If not, uh sorry? :-P

Staind - Everything Changes

Metallica - Wherever I may roam

Switchfoot - Dare You To Move

also, any song by Postal Service is epic in my opinion, and Mad World by Gary Jules is out of this world.

Lies is a great song, and my favourite by the Black Keys.

My recommendation is this solo acoustic version of Sentimental by Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree)

Yeah, Maiden rule live

Try Warmness of the Soul by Avenged Sevenfold. It's off their first album, but it's a slow one...

And then listen to The Art of Subconscious Illusion. Which isn't slow.

I'm sorry but this statement is false :d but I'm Irish so I'm hardly gonna put Phil Lynott's name to shame.

Not exactly country, but certainly leaning in that folk rock/bluegrass direction.

Great bands I'm gonna say... Muse, Paramore, AFI, System of a Down... I can't say more, these are all good bands.

One great song from each band:

Knights of Cydonia - Muse (Featured on GH3)
Misery Business - Paramore (Featured on GHWT)
Girl's not Grey - AFI (Featured on Rock Band 2)
Chop Suey - System of a Down (Featured on Rock Band 2)

You could say I'm a Music Game fan, well I am. I have GHWT, GH5, Rock Band 2 & Band Hero.

Count of Tuscany, by Dream Theater.

It's 20 minutes long, but gracious...I think it's the best metal song I've ever heard. Except for that crazy riff at around...I think 2:30 in Shattered Fortress, also by Dream Theater.

I think they're the gods of guitar. lol.

Umm, Disappear - Motion City Soundtrack

Recently I have become a HUGE fan of MCS. Disappear is great. Also, if anyone is into their older stuff, I suggest 'The future freaks me out', 'this is for real', and 'Feel's like Rain'.
