First Person Sniping in progress.
Archive: 12 posts
I have created an ingenious way to snip in LBP. In fear of my idea being taken I have decided not to release the demo version yet, but to wait untill I get closer to the release of this level. I will put pictures up though later on. This level will try to be similar to sniper assassin games on the internet. Add me on PSN if you want to try to take a look at this level. | 2010-01-05 02:48:00 Author: Revolutionized Posts: 20 |
I don't intend to burst any bubbles you had going, but I had actually seen a FPS sniping level on Cool Pages over the summer. It was "meh", but it had a pretty good mechanic going on. I wish I could remember the name for ya, but alas I cannot. | 2010-01-05 03:04:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
Well there have been others, none have been memorable of course so I hope your method is a good one. | 2010-01-05 04:01:00 Author: TheFirstAvenger Posts: 787 |
There's quite a bunch of people who have made various versions of FPS on LBP. Jagrevi's the only one I can think of right now with his Ama Toor Project. It ain't complete but its still worth mentioning. | 2010-01-05 04:12:00 Author: JKthree Posts: 1125 |
With the motion wand and another controller to grab, you could make a decent FPS... Hrm.... MY IDEA, MINE!!! | 2010-01-05 04:30:00 Author: chezhead Posts: 1063 |

I played one that had you move crosshairs around the screen and grab to shoot. | 2010-01-05 04:49:00 Author: thekevinexpress Posts: 256 |
Thats right I remember that one now! It might even be the one comphermc is talking about! I think it was a Japanese shooting level with roaches and you had to use the jetpack to more the cursor and fire with the grab button. | 2010-01-05 05:01:00 Author: JKthree Posts: 1125 |
So yeah, as you can read, it's not the first ever Allthough there are alot of people who haven't played this sort of levels and the idea haven't been used by very many. So go for it! What happend to the Super Mario Bros project? | 2010-01-05 13:57:00 Author: Fredrik94 Posts: 342 |
I would change the title but how do I do that? I saw some of the first person levels they have somewhat the right idea but my level will be more realstic. How can I find that sniping level that you are talking about with the roaches? @ Fredrick94 The Super Mario Bros Project is still being made but slowed obviously by this project. | 2010-01-05 19:55:00 Author: Revolutionized Posts: 20 |
I would change the title but how do I do that? Go to your OP and select Edit. Then "Go Advanced". You will be given the original options to edit the title and/or change/remove the prefixes as well. Hope this is helpful. | 2010-01-05 20:17:00 Author: v0rtex Posts: 1878 |
Alright, I'm gonna throw you an idea.... I have a logic showcase you can see in my signature that has a global lighting relay switch, and while I was messing around with it in create mode, I found that if you tweak it right you could get a really good red glare around the screen that slowly fades away. It's a cool effect that looks like blood from a first-person shooter, if there'll be enemies that somehow shoot back at you. | 2010-01-05 20:43:00 Author: Incinerator22 Posts: 3251 |
