I don't think they're planning to remove it. They've already patched the method that initially allowed it to happen IIRC, but they really would have nothing to gain by crippling levels that use the glitch or glitched objects.

It's the same as what happened with the cow glitch. The method that allowed the cow glitch was patched, but any levels or objects that already made use of it continued to work properly afterwards AFAIK.

They wont make it offical they will leave it for now as its not doing and harm to the game apart from giving be more layers.

They are also testing it and using in there own lvls but because SONY have not tested and done thumbs up to it they are unalbe to use it

i dont like it because people use it really badly when they make wide spaces i find myself jumping into a fake layer and gives people an unfair advantage2010-01-11 18:46:00

Eventhough this week is a bit old: They are not going to "fix" it as far as I know.2010-01-11 18:55:00

Cow glitch materials are materials that look like something when they have the properties of something else, like dark matter that can be moved around, or glass that can be dissolved.

It is true that many (or should i say most?) levels that use the glitch sucks, but it's the same with the paintinator and the water, isn't it? I'd like for them to keep this as long as possible, since there are some creators that use it in an excellent way: check out jump_button's last level, for example.

They shouldn't fix it and probably won't do it either.
They should actually make a background creation mode or tool to allow a REAL way to make it instead of leaving a glitch there though.

Yeah, it creates great effects when done right. Maybe they can make a kit for it in the future that's a lot easier to use. 2010-01-11 21:47:00

It's nice when people can pull it off, but personally it is way to hard to create with! 2010-01-11 22:41:00

I wouldn't say it's hard to create with, but it is annoying because it behaves in odd ways (because it's a glitch). All in all, while I find it interesting I think I'm going to stick mostly to using the standard layers. There's no hoops to jump through to be able to use the standard layers. 2010-01-11 22:50:00

If they did patch it, I would like them to release background objects that look like the ones in the 2007 trailer.2010-01-11 23:03:00

call me crazy or ignorant, but MM just allowing us to exploit a glitch seems haphazard and dangerous for the game's stability. True, no one has found any harm in using it yet, but it's a glitch in a game that obviously is internally complex.

I think those who've used it have simply be lucky it hasn't backfired. Not saying they shouldn't use it; they should use it, but as I stated above, LBP programming is obviously complex, so any real glitch could, at the very least, eventually screw things up for us.

They need a real tool for our own sake.
