A fun level with good detail. Theres some nice cut scenes so try not to hit the circle button. The Beanstalk has a little platforming, but not to hard. Oh & when you hear " FFE FI FO FUM" you'd better run. I had fun making it with alot of ideas and help from a few friends. I hope you enjoy it

Wow, that screen shot looks pretty amazing... Glad to see you're back in the game, my friend. Wish I could play this, it'd be nice to see what people think though. See if JHKThree wouldn't mind filming it for you.2010-01-04 15:24:00

Just played it and i really liked it

Great Visuals, good Story Telling...

I really loved the Beanstalk and the Giant is really amazingly drawn and animated...

Hmmm can?t really say what to optimize in this Level...maybe some Things are not clear at once... like that you hae to grab that chicken AND the Figure on that Table, but this are only little things, that do not really affect the Gameplay...

Maybe the Story could use a little bit more LBP Touch...but the idea with the Store and the water pack surely is nice...real good Work Dude !!!

I could use some more Plays & Feedback on my F4F Lev.: "Odysseedy for a Treasure - Chapter 1: Monkey Bay"...see Sig.

Thx---Keep on the good Work

Just played this...

It was a great mixture of child-like fairy tale and good 'ole LBP platforming fun. Some of the dialogue made me chuckle, and the cut-scenes were well-executed.

Possibly the best part of this solid level was the way you melded the Jack & The Beanstalk story into an LBP-style romp - all the elements of the original tale were present and correct, but the bits of extra story to do with the water were nice touches.

I loved the giant! Especially the different expressions on his face.

Full of nice little touches, such as doors actually shown to be open, and overall I enjoyed it and had fun, which in my book is the whole point.

Well done, excellent work.

PS - Don't worry about F4F

It wasnt so long ago that all you has was the basic design of the bean completed. Its progressed into one of the most well designed levels ive played. It has a great story with well thoughtout and enjoyable gameplay. Great work on using background stickers to retain detail but allow enough free geometry thermo for the things which matter most. Your best work to date imo. I hope you win the contest as you deserve to based on what ive seen from the other entries ive tried so far.2010-01-09 17:11:00

I was thinking on recording the good entries. But I'm still deciding on when to record them. I don't want to wind up making it not fair by having one person's level recorded completly ruining the chances of a much better entry that I didn't notice. (FYI I never read the rules on the contest yet. so waiting might be pointless)

Wow, top notch work. Really it was one of my favorite levels I've played. The story of the original jack was mixed in so nicely with relevant LBP topics (water pack). I think I was smiling the whole time.

I can?t really think of anything you can improve on, it was 5 stars and a heart in my book. One thing you may consider: the checkpoint that is just inside the castle (right before the rats), you may want to move it up closer to the foreground (one plain forward) or just outside the door. The first time I played I ran past it without it activating and died on the rats which sent me all the way back to the cloud section. A minor annoyance that just disrupted the flow of the level because by then the "intense castle music" was playing as I was jumping through the clouds.

It was such a treat for me to play the i hate mentioning the whole F4F thing but i would really like to get your opinion on my "True Life" level. (its the only one in "my creations") Its my first real level and i like getting feedback. Keep in mind that my level is overheating as it is so i would mostly be using feedback on my future levels in the series. Thanks

I played this the other day, and forgot to comment on the thread... this level had SUCH an incredible amount of polish. Some of the tightest mechanics I've seen - from the tree pushing up through the ground to the final boss chase - fantastic work, really.

I thought the climb up the beanstalk was especially entertaining. I've played many "Jack & the Beanstalk" levels over the last year (and several in the last few weeks) and thought your beanstalk climb was definately the best.

Visually, this is your best work.

Great job!

This level IS WIN! I love the level and everything about it. The visuals. The Story. The LBP Touch. 10/10/10/11. If you don't win the contest I WILL SUE.

Played your level - one word - AMAZING! Loved the style, the giant was inspired. Brilliant use of cut scenes ( something I am keen to do ) and humorous - must have taken ages. The rolling fog even though not difficult to do was done so effectively and I have have not seen that effect done so well in any other levels. 5 stars and a Heart from me - you deserve it for creating a wonderously fab level, in my wife and I's opinion.

Will definitely keep a lookout for anymore levels from you in future.

An entry into the faery tale competition-- This level has some of the finest storytelling I've seen yet in LBP. It was engaging, iconic, and funny. It had flow and form. Visually: the giant, beanstalk, and clouds were simply marvelous! Real mood was established as well as a storytellers, "VOICE". I'm surprised because I didn't know you were so adept in this area... very nicely designed. The beanstalk itself was pretty nifty and above all else never really got more than a seconds' thought, "jump here... jump here... now there... " very intuitive, I liked it alot. In fact, the bar is set so high early on that I was disappointed by the sight of the hen and harp...

I was also sad to see so little gameplay from a gameplay master? The level is really short, and has such a tremendous build-up...

Still the emphasis is right where it should be... the storytelling, and you would be hard pressed to find an entry with more polish. Please understand I rated your level 5 stars... just found it to be lacking in the middle sandwiched between such a great beginning and ending.
