Was waiting for the water tool to complete the stage, then ran into creator's block But finally finished the stage! This is the third stage in my Planet Neo adventure series of platforming stages (trying to capture the feel of old school 8-bit/16-bit platformers), the other two consisting of GAF Greens plain (which was made in beta...and one of my first efforts) and Aquatico Sands beach.

Tried to include a little variety since a few of the comments from Aquatico Sands stated that it was too linear. I hope that the boss battle isnt too hard to figure out, and dont forget that checkpoint near the boss lair.

I think that was a simple and fun level. Also probably your best to date, well, eat least of this series. It's not monotone like the first one and the gameplay is more interesting. You're also improving with the visuals. I think your boss is cool and it felt like a Sonic 16bit boss to me.

I would suggest that since we play on one plane, the ennemis that are 3 planes should be reduced to one plane. It will look alot better that way. That red guy cut out of wood could also use another cut
I suppose you know the little trick to make great cut out? make the sticker huge, cut it and then shrink back at the desired size.

My last suggestion would be to add a ground under the boss (underwater ground I mean of course). Or maybe remove the hole to reach there but I think it's there so players can climb back if they were getting in the water staying on the boss' head right?

Keep up!

Yeah thats what the the hole was for, didnt know that sticker trick though. Didnt think something like that would work since alot of materials kind of alter shape when shrunk. I do need to fix the normal piranha pirate enemies (made them 3 layers since it seemed like people could just jump right by them, but maybe I was going about that wrong lol.

One thing I really need to work on is implementing boss weak points...never really know how to go about making traditional platforming bosses with easy to spot points.

You can shrink the wood materials quite alot before they deform.

Yup, you were right about the shrink down technique for better sticker objects. Probably should do that for the final message since I took the cheap way out with that lol.

Fixed the the unecessary layers on the enemies (went back and did that for all enemies in my collection, dunno what I was thinking there), added an extra camera zone in the cave for trap visiblity and a few extra enemies/ background objects here and there. Havent republished yet though. Now i've got to figure out a way to make the Calamarine boss harder, or at least with attacks that actually hit.
