Hey guys I was bored so I decided to do this now. I was going to wait a while but it makes no difference

I am a no budget teenage filmmaker making films on whatever interests me and whatever I can get my hands on. I have been making films since I was 8 years old and have continued on getting better and better. I have a wonderful teacher (and friend) who is helping me in anyway he can to put together a portfolio for when university comes round.

Indiana Jones:
At the moment I am in production for (what a surprise ) an indiana jones fan film. The film follows the first adventure of Indiana Jones's (made up) granddaughter.
Almost all the props and costumes are ready, the locations have been scouted and actors chosen. Now it is just my job to finish up the script and to draw up some storyboards.
Filming will be starting in less than two weeks and should be completed in about 2 months.
It should be completed in 2-3 weeks.

More info will come as this project progresses.

The ShootOut
My dad, my friend and I are competed in this film competition called The Geelong ShootOut (from October 3 - October 5 2008). This was a short film contest where the film can be no longer than 7 minutes and no post production editing can take place.
On the night of October 3 each team that participated was briefed by the contest officials on the rules and was given a list of 15 things (objects, locations, sayings) where which 5 must be included in your film.
After the briefing each team had 24 hours to complete the film and hand it in.
The rules of the competition was that no editing, special effects or any post filming computer based work could be done. This means that all the editing had to be done in the camera. This was done by shooting every shot in order of what it looked like when finished and with the correct timing of each shot.
Once each team had finished shooting, they had their films transferred from the Mini DV tape to a VHS tape (facilities were provided by the competition). In this short time (15 minutes) teams were allowed to put music, voice over, sound effects etc. over the top of the footage. The sound had to be on a CD and no editing of it could take place whilst the film was being transferred to the VHS tape.

So the competition is now over and guess what.... ZZOOMMGG I won 5 awards!!!1!!!!!

Best Script
Best Comedy
Best Art Direction
Best Under 18 Film
Bes Cinematography

It was crazy. All entrants of the competition went to the premiere not knowing whether their film had made the top 10 until theirs was screened. We thought our film was good but nothing special, so we were planning to leave straight after the last film was screened. But it was OURS so we had to stay and sit through the awards section. We didn't think we would win 1 so we were like ZZOOMMGG when we won 5!!!!!1!!!! We couldn't believe it.

Anyway, I've finally uploaded the film so here it is VV. REMEMBER: This was made with no digital editing on the computer. Every shot was pre decided, timed, planned days before the shooting so that every shot fit our plan exactly.
Hope you enjoy!

My Patch:
I am also working on a music video for the Jim Noir song: My Patch.
Nothing is set in stone just yet but filming will most likely be done in the next few weeks.
I plan for it to star my 9 year old sister.
More info will come as this project progresses.

Ladder Luck: A Charlie Chaplin Parody
This was done about two years ago. Here is my homage to the early 20th century classic slapstick comedy of Charlie Chaplin. In this episode he finds himself in a dilemma concerning a 10 dollar note and a ladder. Enjoy!

note: DJ Enterprises is not the name of my film company. It was the only thing my friend and I could think of at the time .

Anyway, I hope you enjoy my films. Critiques, comments, complaints, compliments and things I should improve on would be gladly accepted .

Cheers,

mj

PS. Anyone that knows how to embed videos, could you please PM me. thanks

That... was funny and stupid, i.e. just like those old films.

Did you just add sex as a tag to get more people to watch it?

Anyway, a teenage no budget filmaker... kind of like my brother was, although at the moment he's in college and not making films... If you want I could link you to his youtube page? Meh, I'll do that anyway.

There are two movies that are too long to be on youtube so they are on google video, go to the Michael Keaton Returns or Leave strailers to see them if you're interested.

Anyway, yep, your movie was good too, I laughed at the stupidity, which is what I think you were going for. Cheers!

Oh, and your other movies sound good too- I would love to see your Indiana Jones movie- I know you kinda like those movies a bit...

Ooooh that was quite good, edited well, nice lighting etc etc. Also I don't know whether this was your intention but good call doing something with no dialog/sound = super hard to get right (written a silent short myself for that very reason )

Just one question; where did the old man go!? Maybe the protag should have kicked him out the frame or something to explain his disappearance!

Great movie Mutt and congrats on all the wins, are you going to try and go to NIDA? You should get in contact with them ASAP and show them some of your work and awards so they will be aware of who you are when you're ready to take the leap.
