Super Mario Bros <--better than you think

Before you think "This is just another one of those hundreds of LBP mario remakes" hear me out. I am making this level using the design of Flat. If you never heard of flat it basicly makes the level as 2D. Just seach it in LBP online because it is actually really good.

I have made a bunch of objects in the 8-bit look and coloring scheme.

I have one problem that needs fixing. I want to grab a spong the activates a piston to move and object up and down once. I am using this as the jumping mechanism.

This might not work but try it anyway. Make the grab switch directional, so when the player grabs it the piston goes. If this makes the piston up as default and grabbing makes it go down, set the switch to inverted. Hope I helped!2010-01-03 23:30:00

I think I know what's hes talking about, and if I do, put the button above the player, so the X button is still jump. The problem with a sponge is they can just hold it and the character will stay up. Another problem is higher elevations. When they make it to a ledge say, 2 ft. off the ground, you would want them to jump two feet higher then if they were on ground level. Rtm probably has a solution for that, I would reccomend asking him.2010-01-07 00:36:00
