Don't read if you get sad easy.

Okay, I don't know why but I felt like posting this.
The last two weeks have been pretty awesome. My girlfriend got me Assassin's Creed II I went to see a relative that was dying of a brain tumor. She was supposed to have two months left so we figured we would get over there to see her while she was still here. She was kinda like a mother to me, her son is my best friend, aside from my girlfriend not to be gross, just true. Anyway, I got the call today at 1pm that the Kemo (or however you spell it) wasn't working. I had to work at four so my day was kinda shot from the start.
Anyway, I'm supposed to go out of town for a couple of days, I'm supposed to be a paul bearer (or however you spell that ) So I'll be back :hero:

She passed, thats what the 1 o'clock call was.

Thank you for your condolences. I just wanted to vent. I don't really know how to handle it yet. My dad was the only other person that died that I had any connection to and I didn't like him. I am kinda worried that I might cry at the viewing though.

I don't know that you should really be worried about that. It's perfectly fine and normal to cry and feel side when someone you love deeply passes.

I lost my grandmother earlier this year to AML (acute myeloid leukemia). I found out she was sick in March and still had a hard time dealing when she passed in August. As you said, my grandmother was like a mother to me; she practically raised me on some level. That said, it was extremely hard for me to let her go. I guess I'm just trying to say that I know what you're going through.

The best advice I can think to give is always cherish the good times. Her death is ultimately just a single moment at the end of her life. It's all of the other stuff that's worth remembering and holding onto. That stuff will be with you forever and you'll be surprised how much that helps on a day to day basis.
