Making a level: The Mine 2

Hey I'm in the middle of making a sequel to my level, entitled The Mine - But I think I'm stuck - I've kinda run out of ideas to continue it on, and I've looked at other peoples levels in order to get some inspiration but - nothing. Anyone got any Mine - related ostacle ideas? Or even if you could just mention some average objects you might find in a mine that could contribute towards making some obstacles - for example mine carts (though not that one, seeing as I just mentioned it!)

Uhm, not sure if there is anything like this in a real mine, but perhaps some kind of winch (that's what you call it, right? Elevator in a way, but it isnt an elevator) to transport whatever they are mining to a higher or lower level in the mines.2009-12-30 20:51:00

yeah like a platform kinda thing?! Yeah sure I reckon I could do that. Maybe the sackboy character has to use these lift type things to transport a key from one place to another in order to open up a door / passage? yeah thatd work! Thanks! 2009-12-30 21:04:00

A drill vehicle would be cool. You could drive it side to side then hit a switch to make it drill down through rocks for a puzzle or something.2009-12-30 22:28:00

yeah that sounds good although... do you think you could explain it a bit more please? is it like a vehicle that can be controlled eg from side to side, but you can stop and make it drill downwards in order to create a path?2009-12-30 23:27:00

I think he is thinking of some kind of vehicle that can drive through the mines, and dig downwards. But I think there would be no good way of implenting this in LBP, so I'd advise you to stay away from that, rather than making some ugly object that drags the quality of the level down. But if you find a good way to implent it, then go for it! 2009-12-31 03:47:00
