Denkey Kong Arcade remake

Archive: 8 posts

I've had this idea floating around in my head for a little while now and i was wondering, how feasible would a Donkey Kong remake prove? would I be able to make the ramps and whatnot?2009-12-29 17:55:00

I would say that it is very possible to do a Donkey Kong remake. In fact, it would be pretty awesome if you were to do it really well. The only weirdness comes from the ladders. I would suggest to make the entire level in one layer and for the ladders, bring in the second layer and have the player go into a little alcove, so nothing can hit them. From there you could use a grab switch or a jump pad, whatever.2009-12-29 18:34:00

Regarding the ladders, if I just corner-edit the corners of the squares and bring them down at ana angle, can't I simulate the diagonal bars?2009-12-29 22:43:00

Has anybody rewinded without pressing on the pad while in Create Mode? It happened to me a couple of times....2009-12-30 01:11:00
