360 camera in create mode
Archive: 9 posts
Wouldn't it be cool if you could rotate the camera 360 degrees to see behind your creations and edit them for the back. One thing that was bothering me about this was wouldn't the background get in the way but i think it could work. What do you guys think? | 2009-12-29 09:28:00 Author: Mangarocks14 Posts: 262 |
Would have view the whole level...which could cause a massive drop in FPS. Plus it just wouldn't look right... | 2009-12-29 11:37:00 Author: FuzzballFox Posts: 217 |
Clipping would prevent you having to see the entire level - just setting a limited draw distance. That's not exactly hard to implement. I'd prefer the ability to set visibility on layers individually, with an option to view from behind (for the purposes of attaching decorations). This would make me very happy indeed. | 2009-12-29 11:48:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |

I agree, I think this is sorely needed! | 2009-12-29 12:16:00 Author: Snowspot Posts: 265 |
If it was more of a side view, I wouldn't mind. 2 would be normal view, and the camera is going clockwise in this picture http://i46.tinypic.com/2m3mjgx.jpg It is "2d", but i'm not an artist with computer drawings. | 2009-12-29 15:57:00 Author: davestanley Posts: 87 |
Yeah, we definetily need some sort of way to look at hidden layers in the back, too see they are working. It would also be a lot easier with making some layers invisible, so you can put pistons back there where you would have to usually move a whole part of the level and risk something got destroyed. | 2009-12-29 18:59:00 Author: moonwire Posts: 1627 |
I just want the camera to be able to zoom in past the first thin layer so that we can build buildings/vehicles fully. By this I mean there won't be any more openings in the object in a realistic view. The one way that is possible to do it now is to make a supah-zoom when you go to the Design Sackboy popit. | 2009-12-29 20:55:00 Author: Xenifus Posts: 306 |

Lol, was that done on paint? On topic: I can't really see why this is needed, give an example of when you would need to use this... | 2010-01-03 13:57:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
