Hey Guys...this is my second Level...
i try to do this as a sequel, so this is Chapter 1...

It's a cloudy Night as you sail through the Caribbean Sea. (Un)fortunately you run ashore on a lonely island and your ship get?s broke...A strange, old Man, you meet tells you something about a treasure --- so why not look for it...

But there are many Dangers on your Way...

Magrove Swamps, Liane Swings, Bad Monkeys throwing Coconuts, a Mystery Puzzle around some old Ruins and a 4 armed Statue...and finally a really Big Blue Monkey trying to stop You...

Really hope you Guxs try it...put a lot of work into this...

have Fun...

will give Feedback F4F for every Comment

Thx...

Hey MoeJoe,

Just by looking at the thumbnails I'm getting excited to play this level. I'm in the middle of making supper but as soon as I get the chance I'll be definitely playing this one!

Excellent level!

In the boss area, I have two gripes. First, I got stuck in the background, and had to jump around to the right, switch to the front layer, THEN walk back left. Can't see what got me stuck.

Second, the swing causes an ordinary player to swing right INTO the target platform, smash his face, and fall short.

Opening sailing sequence took too long. I normally add text or scenery if I'm going to make a player wait that long. Hard to get back above deck, if you go down to collect the bubbles.

Puzzle element was fantastic.

Great use of sponge in place of sand.

Great use of floating horrible gas.

Visuals: This was a very beautiful level, MoeJoe. I have one main concern, however. In most of the places with swinging vines, neither me nor the player I was with could see them. We ended up making a few blind jumps on a few of the gaps before seeing that there was a vine there. Other than that, we were loving the artistry. Did you design that boss al yourself? It was a very well drawn boss.

Gameplay: The fact that the swings were hard to see affected both the visuals and the gameplay for me. Nothing seemed extremely tricky, and most of the transitions were pretty tightly done. We really enjoyed, just like with your last level, the use of home-made enemies. It really feels like this level is your creation. I agree with Coyote with the opening boat scene, however. It was fairly long and not much happened, so we jumped off the boat and got stuck instead.

Story: The story seemed pretty cool, but unless I missed something, I don't think we ended up finding any treasure - just killing a big blue monkey. Maybe throwing in more storyline through the middle, or having more continuity would immerse the players in it more.

Rating: Five Stars.

Thx for your Comments and Feedback Guys...

appreciate that...

Will try to do some Changes on that...

- try to shorten the Ship Intro Passage...
- will take a look at the vines too...maybe i have to give them a lil bit different color...

@ coyote:- i will take a look, where u get stucked there or what happened...
- the swing at the Boss should be not too easy...so u got to grab the vine/Liane a little bit higher to reach the plattform...
- the Thing with getting back on Deck i realized too...with the ship not movoing it was easy...but while moving, and shaking it can be a little bit tricky...that?s tru...don't really know how to fix it with not ripping the ship into parts again...maybe i figure out something...

@Lieu:
-Like i said will take a look at the vines...
- Story is not over yet, because it's a sequel...i?m working at Chapter 2 at the moment...the treasure u will find at the end ...
- The Boss is what i personally like most of the Level too ^^...and yea designes it all myself...hardest thing was to get him moving like this ^^...so thx for that...

@Joey: Thx ^^

On the ship, I'd just cut away the wall where the stairs are. As for the vine - hey, dude, it's your level. I figured it out eventually, so it's certainly not a dealbreaker.

At first, I thought I had gone BEHIND THE WALL the boss is in front of. This might not be so - try making the the boss camera range smaller, or moving it a bit to the left?

Yeah thx...and i try to listen to the Feedback i get...

So I made some small Changes to improve the Level ^^:

- Intro with Ship Ride much sorther now.
- Easier to get back on Deck.
- Gave the vines a little bit brighter Material to make them more visible.
- Adjusted Boss Camera.
- Added a little bit more Story Text at the End & some more Point Bubbles ^^

So all you Guys...give it a try ...

Hey Might Moe Joe!

Thanks for playing and commenting on my level...here is some feedback for you.

I thought the level was great! Visually very appealing with some great gameplay elements. Loved your design style and original pieces.

Everything played fine until I got to your Blue Monkey Boss...

His leg came off while I was trying to figure out how to kill him. (I ran up and grabbed his foot) After I made my way up and jumped on his head (killing him) I went over and pulled the switch...but...nothing happened I tried again...still nothing. Now I need to say that when the Boss died his leg and foot stayed there and did not disappear...maybe this was why the bridge wasn't triggered to lower.

Otherwise...I loved everything else!

I gave it:

First of all THX for playing and your Feedback...

And uhh... you?re right...without the LEg of the Monkey dissappearing, the Bridge cannot drop down...

Hmm, how u did that, breaking the Leg ???... U pushed the Block into the Monkey ?...or just b jumping on his Foot ???

I really tried 10 mins now to get this done, but it seems to be a real rare case...

But I now did some Updates, so u can?t jump into the Leg without being killed AND u can?t move the Block into the Apes Moving Area anymore...

So it should not happen again ^^

Thx for making me advertent to this...

maybe You gie it a try again and complete it

Ok played it again last night and everything worked as it should. I thought this was done very well and the creatures you created were done very well.

*Second place on scoreboard*

I really did enjoy it but thought it was a bit easy...too much 1st time through kinda stuff...except for the crabs. But I use something similar in my level and know how to defeat them real easy!

Thanks again!

This is a very solid level! Great visuals, solid gameplay. I read some of the earlier posts and saw that you made some changes. I didn't experience any problems throughout, so I guess its as polished as it gets.

Thanks, this is a great level!

Please check out my elemental levels, feedback would be great!

I loved the crazy man in the diaper.

Although, I got stuck under the boat a couple times, after it crashed.
