Dead Controller?

Archive: 5 posts

I was playing with one of my two controllers, without the chord hooked on, when it shut off and ran out of battery like it's done dozens of times before. I put the chord back on it and pressed the start button, and now it won't turn on at all

Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is that controller dead forever? It's not even the controller I use the most, so I don't think or know if it somehow somehow overrwent it's lifetime. Help?

Hmm. Start button? Either you pressed the wrong button or you're talking about the PS button (which I bet you are). If it's #2, I'm afraid I can't help you nevermind! I found something on the Internet that may work. If it doesn't, than you're out of luck, as far as I know.

1) Connect PS3 controller via USB controller charger.

2) While the USB lead is connected, press the PS button.

3) Remove the Usb Ps3 Controller lead.

4) Press PS button. This should fix your Ps3 Problems.

Did you use your controller with another PS3? If so you will need to do what drakon136 said.2009-12-28 10:51:00

If the thing that happens is that your controller shuts down, and your sackboy, will just keep running, if you kept running until your controller shut itself down, it happened to me too.
It helped buying a new HDMI cable
