Underwater only rocket alternative/propellor

Archive: 13 posts

I think it would be quite nice if we had a tool that functioned exactly the same as the rocket, but only when it is submerged in water. I find it a bit messy when your boat planes beautifully and then enters a manic spin in the air.

Constructive criticism/development ideas please!

Thanks,

Pablo.

It's possible to do this using the water sensor and some simple logic! :32009-12-28 00:54:00

I know, but it would look cool with a propellor going whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!2009-12-28 11:20:00

Make a paddle. Attach a few rectangles to a circle, add a motor bolt, attach a water switch, and there. Add the necessary sounds.

There's a reason why Mm never makes things for us.

No, they are paddles which are hideous inefficient and don't look right in place of a propellor.2009-12-30 15:26:00

I'm all for a propeller, even if it's just moving decoration.2009-12-30 15:29:00

Ah, a PROPELLER. Now that I'd like.

It could also alternate as a wind fan, or chopper blades.

Maybe, but I'd prefer it to only work in water without the need for logic (not that I can't do logic, I'd just like to be able to emit it).

Maybe just make it like an entirely reskinned rocket and give it (and the rocket) an option to only work in water/out of water/work everywhere.

Who says you can't emit logic?

Not me! I emit a ton of logic for the dropping vent scene in Setbacks, and it's all hooked into the main level with inputs and outputs and resettable 2009-12-30 17:13:00

At first I was skeptical, since every wire has to be connected, then I remembered; magnetic switches.

Yep, carefully placed mag keys / switches so that the emitted object can send signals out and receive signals back from the main level

It's a right faff when you have to edit/update the logic though
