Lbp crashes every time I play

Hey everyone. Every time I boot up lbp it gets to the bit where sackboy pops from the top of the pod and then totally freezes. It freezes just before you pop from the top. I cant do anything and the PS button doesnt respond, the only way i can turn my PS3 off is by holding the on/off button. Is your pod full of decorations or does your sackboy have anything laggy on him? You might need to pull out a old profile save or start over.  Does it freeze when you pause? You could try pausing right at the second of when you appear. | 2009-12-28 03:57:00 Author: warlord_evil  Posts: 4193 |
| no my pods fine and so is my sackboy. It freezes before sackboy appears. Before this started happening, when I exited any levels, and the star ratings came up, it would freeze momentarily. | The same thing is happening to me... is it just a coincidence? I backed up a few days ago, so it's not much trouble for me. It started when I loaded a level online but paused and exited before the entrance even lit up. Is this significant? I had a bare pod, and a costume that I had been wearing for a few days with no problems (didn't have very many decorations, no stickers I think). Also, which data am I supposed to delete? Oh umm..... you have a backup I hope  You delete everything out of the game data folder. (this next bit I cant remember exactly) Go on LBP and see what happens (let it install all the patches and updates and whatnot) If it pops you into the intro level with the spotlight, quit the game. If that didn't work you have to go into savedata and delete the one with a picture of your sack inside a white box (not the one with the bubble cloud thingy behind.) Then copy your backup into that folder. It should be working fine now Once you've copied the backup you might have to delete the game data again - though I'm pretty sure you don't have to ( I did it just for safes ) | 2010-02-24 16:24:00 Author: theamilien Posts: 485 |
| Alright, I think I deleted the game data, the thing with the LittleBigPlanet logo text on it right? Well, I jumped into the game offline, it's so weird to play through the beggining of the game again, there's that part when you first see your pod, you can see all of it, the camera fly's around it. Anyways, "Then copy your backup into that folder." Which folder do you mean? This bug is terrible, downloading all these updates could take hours!!! EDIT: I've had to download updates twice!...I can't play LBP! I guess I may have to delete everything and start from scratch, I have my back-up on a USP though, I'll see what I can do. No worry, I just got mad enough to delete everything that was part of my profile. It works now!
