This is a decent level with good visuals and enjoyable gameplay. I like the optional "shop" area, and the king character you created is great. The gameplay seems to be fairly thoroughly tested, and everything works pretty well. The beast looked good in a cartoony sort of way, but it really wasn't much of a threat. The head and body aren't connected, so when you pop either of the two brains the other part of the beast is still hanging around.

At the risk of being too picky, I have to point out a couple of minor spelling errors in your speech bubbles... The first one is when the king mentions the "fowl" beast. This made me laugh (which I'm sure wasn't your intent) because I immediately pictured a giant chicken on a rampage (Hmm, idea for a level?). One other error I noticed was that "acquired" is spelled "accuired". The single largest problem I noticed is that the jetpack isn't connected to anything, so it's possible to fly anywhere in the level you want and skip all the platforming challenges. Just before you get to the section where you need to cut the plants with a sword, you can fall through the level. Just switch to the back layer and move to the left and you drop right through.

Overall I gave this level 3.5 stars, which rounds up to 4 stars in game. I liked it and am interested in your sequels.

Level Has been republished, I have added some threat level to the monster and blocked off the part that you can walk off the level.2009-12-29 02:39:00

kevin2314, thanks for good level. I have much fun when played.

One question for everyone - on almost all level some main monster beats very simple. Maybe it is more interesting to do something more difficult to reach victory? Make some trap or ensnare beast to some dangerous place? In this moment I do my first big adventure level and think about using something of this sort on it.

Move the monster to the front layer so you can get killed by it. Aslo make an emitter on it that spits fireballs or something and attach a sensor switch to it so it starts spitting fireballs when you're near. Also dont use other peoples characters and enemies. Your custom ones are better(you used Coxys person and the enemy from land of giants). The rods on your skull enemires are broken(they bend sideways a bit) so i'd remake then cuz it's really hard to kill theum2009-12-29 10:57:00

Hey Kevin2314,

That was a fun adventure, and I think your characters were brilliant--they made the story alive for me. I agree with PaddyJ: you make charming and amusing characters, and using community generated ones took away from your story. I also have to add, along with PaddyJ, about the broken pistons on your skull. However, I don't think it made them harder to kill...I thought they were too easy.

I wish I could give original feedback, but it seems all my suggestions have already been foretold. The boss was way too easy to defeat that it hardly posed any threat, and the camera view when first introduced to the boss cuts off midway through its head. The second "brain" was also obscure, and I found it awkward when the head disappeared, and the body remained intact. Also, I think I downloaded the newer version, but the jetpack was still not yet glued down...

Like Taffey, I really liked your store idea, and I love how the item reappeared during the "weeds" scene to help clear the path. That was an ingenious way to tie the story together.

Overall, I thought it was an enjoyable level, and I would recommend playing it.

I originally was going to fix the broken piston, but they were way easier when the piston wasn't broken so they are harder but not too hard the way they are and I did update it the monster shoots fire and what not but its the level with fewer plays and now the monsters head doesn't disappear first2009-12-30 14:39:00
