Hey guys, I could use some advice...

As some of you know, Steam is holding it's Holiday Sales, and to compliment my new laptop, I want a game that does not depend heavily on online components, and has a lot of re-playability... i.e. it is good, and isn't an online game like TF2 or Killing Floor.. etc. Preferably something that's under 5 dollars in the sale. I've been considering STALKER but I don't knwo if it's good.

What do you guys think

Haha, luck would have it I'm having those same doubts right now.
Also browsing the steam pages to check the holiday discounts.

I know a few old favourites I'm already getting though:
Monkey Island SE
Oddworld Pack

Now I'm checking the more unknown games to me to see what could be interesting so yeah, I'm also in the same corner as Astro.
You know what I always do in these situations, go look for reviews online, that could make your desiscion a bit easier.

The first time I used steam in probably 2 years, the world that opens when you own a creditcard ey?

i agree with oldage. you should get either Plants Vs. Zombies or L4D2(that is only if its on sale) PVZ is extremely addictive and in L4D2 you can play as the Special Zombies and try to kill the Survivors EDIT: srry L4D2 is an online game and as you said you didnt want online, but it is by VALVE, the people who made the awesome Counter-Strike and Half-Life2009-12-31 10:25:00
