What do you miss the most?

What PS3 LBP feature do you miss the most in the PSP version?

Right now I'm leaning towards the photo tool, because it's impossible to distinguish your level on a globe when you can't create your own badge. But lights and global lighting settings add a lot, visually. What do you want the most?

This is a good idea for a thread!

As long as people don't start saying Cambridge NEED to add this and NEED to add that, it could lead to some interest discussion! A lot of the stuff that isn't in this game but is in the PS3 simply isn't viable on such a console and that's why it's not there.

A good chat about the stuff we miss and why could be interesting though!

I can't really think of anything I miss a lot at the moment, other than the bit more stability that create mode has maybe!

Oh yeah, the PS3 create mode has never seemed so bug free!

For me it's being able to hear music before you select it. Having to place it in the level just to hear it is so annoying and time wasting!

I used to miss the grid mode, but I've learned to live without it just fine.

I do miss being able to recolor the dissolve material though. The green kind of stands out.

I have done very little with create mode, by I'm missing the ability to copy objects and such. I suppose it all comes down to a shortage of buttons, haha.2009-12-27 04:08:00

hmm. conversely, I'd like the ability to make objects in the ps3 version static.

i don't really play that much in psp create mode yet as i like to keep my grip on what bit of sanity.

a better way to make shapes would be nice though. the whole create something and then corner edit the ever-loving daylights out of it is kind of......yea.

What I miss the most? Well I think its a tie, between Dynamic Lighting effects, and Multiplayer.

The Dynamic Lighting effects in LBP PS3 just gave me a good feeling..... like, how is it even possible that the Dynamic Lighting effects could be THAT realistic. (I know, modern technology).

And about the Multiplayer, I remember the good old times. Where in some levels, my friend tried to quash me (like opening the door, then closing it on me.) And even the other times where we died in a funny way, while we were playing levels.

The grid.

I use it all the time (almost all the time at least) on the ps3 version.
Placing a bolt can be really hard because it's hard to hit the middle of a wheel without a grid.

And yes, heaing the music before you use it, I think I'll never know all the songs because of this.

if you really want it centered...just select the wheel, let go of it but don't let the pop-it let go of it(make sure it still has blue around it) and get a BOLT and choose it. it will automaticcly be in the center of the wheel, just place it

as for me...i saw a youtube video of recovered lighting effects tutorials...so i'm guessing that might be in an add-on. but yah, i miss the photo tool...definetly makes it harder to distinguish levels...-_-

Thanks for the tip, I hadn't thought of that. There were a lot of unused tutorials on the UMD, I understand. It could be they were forced to scrap features in order to keep the framerate up or something, then we're stuck with this. On the other hand, maybe they scrapped them because they were too buggy, then we still have a chance.

@Black265: Multiplayer totally slipped my mind. But it's a good one!

Not being able to sticker your costume.
I really like liked making crazy costumes with the stickers and would love that in the game.

two things I miss most

1. Lights
2. The ability to copy what I'm working on or a shape - it's tedious to capture stuff if your working on shapes and especially if you want them to line up.

I'm now firmly on the photo tool. The Interwebs made me remember custom stickers are also useful for many game play mechanics like locks and such. So, Sony Cambridge, hop to it! 2010-01-19 10:15:00

1) The ability to create without crashing and having to reset my PSP every 10-15 minutes

2) Being able to hear the music before selecting it

3) No Lighting tools

Set in order, with the face depicting how much I don't like it

On a side note, why can I smell clay in my bedroom?

Well, I did say aside from the bugs, but the other two are good ones.

Maybe you forgot all about that clay army to conquer the world that you left under your bed?

-Creating custom stickers (for puzzles and such)
-Changing the lighting condition of the level (it helped to create proper moods)
-Copying objects (or more like, modifying copied objects)
-Stickering Sackboy
-Hearing music & sounds before placing them (time-saving!)
