An Awkward Tale : From the Abyss to the Boatteddyboy13 Hello This is my new level, which uses water (I guess you're getting botherred by all those...wet levels). Anyway, I HAD to make this one. I've been working on it since the summer, I've been waiting for water. I improved a lot of things, because I got new kits and packs. I'd rather not tell you about the story, but I don't think I could have found a better title than An Awkward Tale ! It's an awkward tale ! You'll explore antique ruins as a Greek hero, put up a boss battle, then.... You'll understand everything at the end... You can select a language at the beginning of the level. PS : For the ones who have already played my level and who are reading this message, I know the part with the Trident is hard, but don't give up ! Here are some pictures (sorry for the very low quality and for the black stain on each photo... ) : all http://img697.imageshack.us/img697/6876/pubabysslittlebigcentra.jpg | 2009-12-26 12:52:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
...By the way, I don't think it'll be very useful here, but you can select a language ( French/English ) | 2009-12-27 11:07:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
amazing level, you really did put a lot of work in this one I especially liked the choice of language and the design of the level and characters | 2009-12-27 13:07:00 Author: nightwing Posts: 422 |
Thanks a lot, I'm glad you liked it ^^ | 2009-12-28 13:03:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
Update : I've fixed some glitchs we could meet by playing two players, notably the choice of language I'm actually working on a better version of the Trident so you can put it easier in the hand of the statue. | 2010-01-09 09:58:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
Hi, sorry for taking a bit more time than I would have like to repay you the feedback but I played your level tonight and I have to say that it's pretty good. Well, it's actually sad you didn't get much feedback all the while this level was still hot (in his first week) I think your level is good looking and simple in gameplay. And here I mean it as a good thing. It's also so cool to see a level that is completely underwater (almost )Your bosses are pretty cool albeit easy and you make a good use of the background editing. The sackthology in the level is a good + It's possible to get out of your level when you grab the sword though. It seems there's a hole right on top of where the sword is. As for the trident, its lenght made it a bit annoying to bring to the statue and once you put the trident in, it floats back out. In overall it's good work and I'll be curious to see your futur work. :star::star::star::star: | 2010-01-10 08:25:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |

Thanks a lot, guys Ranger, I've just fixed these problems, thanks ! ^^ You shouldn't be able to get out of the level anymore. Oh, and I've made another Trident, heavier, so it should be easier to put it in the hand of the Statue Thanks again for the little review, I'm glad you liked it ^^ Yeah, I wish I got more feedback... My bad, I should have used F4F. Heyhey, yes Rseah, it's Happy | 2010-01-10 12:16:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
Just played it, and I enjoyed it! Good level! I like the underwater part, and the puzzle with the statue, the sword and the trident! I didn't had problem here, it worked fine...but it's true the trident floats back when we release it, maybe you could try to use a heavier material on it... I thought that the pink jellyfish could have been more detailled though... The rest of the level is good too, and I liked the awkward details, like the desk and chair! I loved the story twist at the end, good idea! In the end, a really enjoyable level! Well done! | 2010-01-14 02:43:00 Author: dajdaj03 Posts: 1486 |
Thanks a lot, Dajdaj I'm glad to hear you didn't have major problems with the Trident (I made another one, that was slow going with the first one ! ). Yeah I'm gonna make brand new jellyfishes, these one ain't good at all, that was supposed to be a kinda prototye What's more I've got great stickers. Well I know it's not perfect, it's short, and the difficulty is badly proportioned. But I'm happy you overall enjoyed it, thanks for the little review buddy By the way, did you face some problems with the choice of language ? Maybe magic mouths that disappeared ? I hope you didn't. | 2010-01-14 17:26:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
Hey I forgot to mention this to you: C'est cool de jouer un level dans sa langue natale | 2010-01-14 20:13:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
Hey I forgot to mention this to you: C'est cool de jouer un level dans sa langue natale Haha, thanks a lot ! It's the basic principle of the choice of language. I wanted to address a vast audience, without disowning my French, Canadian, or even Belgian friends | 2010-01-15 19:50:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
Decided I tie up a few loose ends before I go to bed. Anyway, I'm playing this and type at the same time (yes, I type with my feet) and the beginning is well done and neatly presented. I like the story here, sounds deep already! Really neat idea using the props along with the story like that. I love the stairway.. there's something so mysterious about it.. too bad I can't go up xD Hmm.. at the chick with the spear where the lightning falls down.. it doesn't really feel like lightning... maybe make the emitter shoot the lightning down? just a thought. When it switches to the storyteller guy he says "Well why are smiling" instead of Well, why are you smiling. Lol the people reminds me of South Park.. Oh, that was quite short. Cool level though . I'd like more of Sackysseus and Sackyria and stuff. By using the trident and sword like that and the story to back it up... I think you can make an awesome series with it! I gate you 4 stars and a heart. Honestly, this level deserves more than 3 a bit of an anticlimactic ending though xP | 2010-03-20 12:56:00 Author: MrTran Posts: 216 |
