Official 3D tool?

Should MM release a official 3D tool for LBP in the next Creator pack?
I think they should.

That would be awesome!

Just adding like 5 additionnal layers, with thin layers in between (I think more is a little too much...)
just to allow us to create a little more depth in the scenery...!

That would be so cool, cause I hate using that glitch, it's just annoying and difficult!
I'm already really slow when I create the normal way...

It would be very appreciated. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that they could not implement this function as it work right now: actually you can use more layers but not all the mechanism, and maybe it is because those mechanism could create technical problem if puted in the background or in the foreground.

if MM will add this function, it will be with all the machanism working, so it's hard to think that the update will add more than 3 layer

I would like if Mm made objects for the background. Like the objects in the background of a earlier trailer of LBP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcp6G4JQEpc2009-12-26 08:46:00

well they've known about it for ages released a few updates since they first found out but none of them got rid of it... that could maybe be a sign?2009-12-27 00:29:00

Yes!! Mm should DEFINITELY do this. I thought the layer glitch was awesome from the start, and I strongly disagree with people who don't like it's presence in the game or think it should be removed. I mean, it adds to much to the theme, layout, general visual appeal of the level, when used correctly! And if it was properly implemented as a tool it could be used to even greater effect. I would not be at all happy at Mm if they patched this one, there's just no good reason to do so :| So, I hope at some point, they might actually consider adding it as a tool!2009-12-27 01:08:00

They didn't remove it only because it didn't cause any major bugs or problems. But I guess we could never know what Mm is hiding...

We should simply have a tool that you select and then click on an object. You can then move that object freely to any layer you want but it'll be a static object meaning it's frozen in air. Just like the glitch.2009-12-27 12:36:00

I think this would be great! Would these just be background layers or could sackboy walk in them too?2009-12-27 13:02:00

Just background would be fine IMO.

It would be nice, but most creators have trouble making levels already as it is; having a 3D tool would make things slightly worse.2009-12-27 17:42:00

I think this would be nice, though, I would not want any more than 2 more thick and 2 more thin layers. Just having those three (maybe add a fourth) to walk on, in the game is good enough, as too many layers to walk on would have been just chaotic

I am all up for some layers behind, for the scenery!

Yeah adding more layers you can walk on would not be good. And it WOULD wreck all the levels you could just walk in the new back layers and skip everything lol.2009-12-27 23:45:00
