I really hate the fact the cool levels sucks so big time. We need something to give us good levels instead of populair levels. How about someone creating a psn account and hearting alll the good levels from the lbpc forums ? This would be extremly good. To simply be able to jump in to the bots hearted lists to play great levels instead of digging for pearls in the cool page. This would seriusly be awesome though. Can you imagine not having to bother about cool pages ? Simply jump to a psn acount and check the newest lbpc levels he hearted. I have one nomination on my own for this level=LBPG lunar explorer that got 8/10 from Bridget. Maybe we could heart all levels that gets 4 stars or higher from the reviews ? I bet there has been hundreds of good levels nobody hardly played submitted on theese forums. It would be awesome if we can collect all the good and original levels on someones hearted list =) What do you think of this ?

Great idea, but hearting all levels with 4+ stars will end in the same thing, not all levels with 4 stars are good levels so why not add the spotlighted levels from lbpc to the hearted list.. Those are the best levels of the past weeks and people that want to play all of them could easily search for the account to play them all in a row

MM could just start doing MM picks again, and have them be accessible from LBP itself. They could use the news page. If they don't wanna do picks they could even use this sites spotlighted levels. Then there could be archives and it would just grow into a huge list of great levels.

I don't have to mind the Cool levels pages. The best way to find great levels in the LBP is to be here (spotlights) and scout people's hearted list. I don't think we need to have a PSN that hearts all our spotlights, I mean, what happened to the good old pen and paper? Write down a couple of levels names and PSN IDs and then have fun. Don't complicate simple things. Ok, the real reason there's no PSN account with all the spotlighted stuff is that it would not only take ages but there's only 10 pages of hearted levels that you can have and this cannot even contain half the great spotlighted levels we have here. Besides, go check my hearted list. I'm building it since day one and there's ALOT of great stuff in there. Also, don't neglect my hearted creator's list too because they are all people with at 3 great levels to play and their levels doesn't appear in my hearted list. .

What if someone like Confused Cartman made a level with a key to every spotlighted level? Doesn't the game show you all the linked levels when you exit it?

Would probably work. But you always need to do that level if you want to see the list again. Another annoyance is that you can't erase keys in your profile... .

This is a great place to find the best levels, but it'd just be awesome if MM gave great levels a dedicated page in-game in LBP. No matter where your level is showcased on-line, the exposure is nothing compared to being on page 1 of Cool Levels. If MM had weekly level picks, and posted them on the news page, it'd be giving tons of levels lots of exposure. Also giving the community at large a place to find great stuff. They could enlist the communities help with this.

Well i think we would need a page that allows the levels with high quality to get to the first page instead of popularity. Maybe in that case people would want to work harder to reach there instead of cool page=Higher quality on the levels in general. Or the sollution is to try to release good levels at the same time to flodd the cool pages with high quality levels. Then people would realize that they have to do high quality levesl if they want plays?

why not add the spotlighted levels from lbpc to the hearted list.. Those are the best levels of the past weeks and people that want to play all of them could easily search for the account to play them all in a row Fair point but not strictly true. They are only levels that have been posted on the forum in the last 2 weeks and that a few people ( the judges ) decide to spotlight. Some levels that have been spotlighted are are very old ones that have been republished and then posted on here to craftily sneak a spotlight place ( faith-rip anyone? ). A lot are good obviously but SOME aren't. I played that asylum one, sorry can't remember the name, and just found it terribly boring and frustrating running backwards and forwards in the dark and going up and down an annoying set of stairs over and over again. God knows how that got spotlighted! If you want to play GOOD levels just check out the creators I've recommended before i.e. BOIA koknsun kurikara You won't find many better levels in the whole of LBP than theirs yet they've never been spotlighted! Go figure!

And it's people rating the levels. Reality is that most levels uploaded are not good. On top of that, some great levels might not get republished by their creator therefore you had to be there to notice them when they published them. There's too many design flaws right now with the promotion and community side of the game. It will never be solved completely. They will probably need to simply start with a better design from the get go the day there will be LittleBigPlanet 2. Lastly, flooding the cool level pages would only go so far. Seeing good levels dominating the charts for a couple of weeks won't prevent the crap to come back after that. .

If this is going on I'm not aware of it. All I can say is I play levels that have threads made during the weeks of the spolight. If the level is three months old but has a brand new thread it's eligible. If that's a problem I don't know how to fix it as I don't know exactly when a level was created based on the thread and I don't have the time to check every single one. A lot are good obviously but SOME aren't. I can appreciate it wasn't the kind of level you enjoy but we all have different tastes. Go figure! We only spotlight LBPC members and after a search for all three of those creators on LBPC I can safely say they have no level threads listed for their levels here. If you'd like them to have a shot at getting spotlighted, get them to join the site and make threads for their levels.

Maybe he was new to this site and wanted to get some feedback on his level. I don't see how it's sneaky, or why only brand new levels should be spotlighted. I had never heard of faith-rip before he was spotlighted, and I'm glad he was. He has some great levels.

Also it will encourage people to publish their levels at the start of the month (or whenever they decide to do it), so people who know what they're doing will get the best start. While the trash won't have as much chance to get up there because the people who don't know what they're doing probably won't publish at the right time and won't have as much chance to get to the Cool Levels page.
