How would you make a submarine with the newly added WATER when the water always keeps getting in? | 2009-12-23 13:23:00 Author: duxer Posts: 15 |
make your submarine and put either a scuba gear thing or a bubble emitter in the submarine so you have infinite air | 2009-12-23 13:42:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
That's not the same... | 2009-12-23 13:58:00 Author: duxer Posts: 15 |

If the sub is under the water the sub will be full of water. No workaround Im afraid.. | 2009-12-23 13:59:00 Author: wexfordian Posts: 1904 |
I hope MM does something about this "problem". How am I supposed to make an underwater city like in Bioshock? | 2009-12-23 14:01:00 Author: duxer Posts: 15 |
I hope MM does something about this "problem". Its not a "problem"... Its a "limitation"... | 2009-12-23 14:03:00 Author: wexfordian Posts: 1904 |
i think waters fine the way it is... And i'm not sure about bioshock since i've never played it but to make a city underwater make your city add the water it's an underwater city | 2009-12-23 14:03:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
Its not a "problem"... Its a "limitation"... LBP should be limitless. | 2009-12-23 14:06:00 Author: duxer Posts: 15 |
I hope MM does something about this "problem". How am I supposed to make an underwater city like in Bioshock? Make an airlock. Have the camera zoom in. Water level drops. You walk in the dry. A bit of imagination, a bit of logic, a bit of simple misdirection and a bit of suspending disbelief. That's how we make things happen in littleBigPlanet - it's always been that way, since time immemorial 2008. I can't see how people are finding this such a problem with the water. LBP should be limitless. There has always been things you "can't do" in LBP. And most of them have been done. I think it was burnvictim that said it's only limited by the creators' imaginations. Think outside the box. | 2009-12-23 14:06:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |

Thanks for the answer. It gave me hope. BTW. I love your levels. | 2009-12-23 14:11:00 Author: duxer Posts: 15 |
Try not to double post if you wanna stay alive! | 2009-12-23 14:43:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
I mean an unterwater city where you can walk not swim. You would walk in it. What happens would be: WaterWaterWaterWaterWaterWater Water|Airlock|Tunnel/Corridor/Whatever WaterWaterWaterWaterWaterWater WaterWaterWaterWaterWaterWater Then sackboy swims into the airlock and the airlock does its thing with some animation and sound effects and whatnot as the camera zooms in and then what you would see is this: Airlock|Tunnel/Corridor/Whatever The player wont see the water but as the camera zoomed in as far as the player knows the water is still there. The water level dropping is disguised as water draining from the airlock. It's a work around like most of the things we do in LBP. | 2009-12-23 14:53:00 Author: adlingtont Posts: 321 |

How in fact would I create an airlock? | 2009-12-23 15:22:00 Author: duxer Posts: 15 |
Just by building your submarine or tunnel/corridor. EDIT: Then put in the global water switch and make the water level go down, then zoom the camera in. | 2009-12-23 16:08:00 Author: JewsCntBePirates Posts: 1 |
Submarine might not work with his idea but! If you completly close the sumbmarine so you can see your player and add a bunch of simple bubble machines it creates the effect of being out of water. (keyword: EFFECT) | 2009-12-23 16:22:00 Author: Alexxerth Posts: 233 |
