The UK hasn't been updated yet, unlike some or all of the Asian stores.2009-12-22 15:05:00

Okay! Don't panic! Here's what to do to get Water! Go to the sink, turn on the faucet! Make sure you have a glass under the faucet or you won't be able to keep the water. Fill the glass, and then wait for the store to update! it's that easy.

(i'm joking, btw, I'm excited about water too, but don't worry. It'll come! ^_^)

Of course they're releasing it today. Just be patient. The store hasn't updated yet, and isn't due to until about 3pm.

So, hopefully it'll be here pretty soon.

I can't wait to see some of the spam that this water update brings about, if they're already spamming bakscratch's level. Imagine when real water comes out. You can only play so many "when the bomb-fish drop" levels before it starts to wear you out.2009-12-22 15:30:00

I think I'll be avoiding cool levels the next couple of weeks until the decent levels start to come out. I've read the horror stories around here, and it isnt even released in the majority of the areas yet 2009-12-22 15:39:00

Girl, you expectations on people are WAY TO HIGH.
They simply put water and random stuff floating. THAT'S IT.

It's hilarious lol
I'm even on the verge to make a level called "Random stuff floating". That could be great huh? lol

But seriously, I can't wait to get the update because I have a REAL level ready to receive water. I only need to drop it in there and release it!!

Just keep checking the store. It'll eventually update. Sometimes it updates in-game faster than it does on the store though.... I got costumes through the lbp store before the PSN store updated.

You guys are lucky, though. We will get water in america REALLY late tonight, I have a feeling.

Edit: I, too, have a level that needs water, but it's far from finished. I started it back in like June, and we got rather far on it, and then water was announced. It's been on hold since then.

Be prepared Ranger, some old levels broke apart quite spectacularly in the beta when we just added water

Grant makes a good point. You guys have got to be really careful with the water. The physics can crush things. Make sure everything is tethered and glued down, and make sure you've accounted for water straight across the whole level and not just water in random areas.2009-12-22 16:02:00

Sure but I am prepared. Everything is glued + my unglued logic like certain perm switches are made of glass. So normally, everything should be smooth sailing.

If glass floats I will need to modify my switches a bit. Actually I will modify them right now just in case.

Yeah, glass floats, I'm pretty sure at least. Metal doesn't, nor does dark matter (obviously) ... and never underestimate the crushing power of water. it breaks pistons sometimes if you raise or lower it too quickly.2009-12-22 16:07:00

Yep, it does, I used glass based logic in a level CompherMC, rtm223, OmegaSlayer and i made, and my logic retriggered when the water went above them, we couldnt work out what was happening at first.

I got a logic lesson (and ticking off ) from rtm and compher and changed my designs immediatly for later levels.

You will have problems if the water level goes above them.

Tks for the head up. I will simply emprison my glass in dark matter. It will take like 2 mins anyways.

About unglued bubbles... do they float?

Even the sponge handle on the end of a two way switch floats and can reset due to a drop or rise in the water level. ..that can actually be a handy thing though for a water puzzle. 2009-12-22 16:12:00

What type of logic are you using with glass? Perm Switches? If so, putting DM around them won't help, it will raise anyway. I dont think the logic with pistons was affected, although rtm will remember better, he fixed them all.

I can't actually remember whether point bubbles float or not to be honest Ranger.

Yeah, the sound effects were randomly playing, and doors closing and opening etc Even a perm switch can be made not permanent with water . At least I have thermo efficient, and water resistant switches now rtm

point bubbles float. As jwwphotos says, lever handles float, glass floats (it's the same density as wood).

Piston logic should be fine, but remember that fast moving light objects (card, poly, dissolve) may break due to water force.

Grant, we didn't fix your logic, we just moved them up, lol. And yes it was hilarious when we figured it out. I thought we glitched the game somehow, but NO, someone just had to use old, bulky logic.

Ranger, if its just your perms, put the key on a piece of dissolve and invert the switch. Viola!

..another possible quick fix depending on the level, is to simply move your logic up and out of the reach of the water level.2009-12-22 16:19:00

It's old school perms I have. A piston pushes a block of ice with a mag key on it. It's horizontal so just covering the top in dark matter and voila, the little ice block cannot float out of my switch
