I just went to update to 1.23. I downloaded the 113mbs and when it went to install it got to about 10% and said there was an error. Now I started the game again, said I had to update to 1.23 and there were 7 updates to download [last time it was 2] and the first is 57mb. What's happened?

I thought the first update said 1.22. I updated fine...played for a bit and quit, and when I started next it wanted to install 1.23. So I think there may have been 2 patches...I didn't pay too much attention, they were pretty quick...

there were two patches rapidly released together 1.22 & 1.23. Still not sure why but yes, they were released minutes apart apparently. Check rtm's thread for further discussion about it.

Yeah but I got an error after installing one of the updates and now I have to download 7 updates. I only started updating about 30 minutes ago and the update was out 3 hours ago. I couldn't install the 57mb update either and on the XMB, in the games column there was just a square saying corrupted data. And now I'm downloading the 57mb again

This means your game data (the file with all the patches) got corrupted for some reason. You should redownload the 7 seven updates the system prompts you and you should be fine. .

I'm trying to but even those 7 won't install! I keep getting [after I download and it tries to install] error 80029564. So the first time I downloaded the update [113mb] I couldn't install it. The second time I downloaded 57mb and the same thing, I downloaded the 57mb again and still no luck -_- I suppose I should look what that code means unless someone knows. Edit: Apparently using a router can interfere. I'll plug into my modem

Updates can't be in background can they? And where do you check for space? I haven't had time to look around the options on the PS3. 53/73gb left. I think I fixed it. idot didnt update the ps3.
