What do YOU plan to do with water?
Archive: 35 posts
As we all know the new pack is coming out tomorrow. I was just wondering what everyone planned on creating. I plan on creating a companion cube escort level and a Dreamscape style water level. What about you? | 2009-12-21 22:35:00 Author: bonner123 Posts: 1487 |
The newest level I'm making will use it. Can't reveal anything yet but it might be my best :0 | 2009-12-21 22:37:00 Author: Ricano Posts: 434 |
experiment with it and try to make things with it | 2009-12-21 22:40:00 Author: Unknown User |

A village scene a bit like this: http://www.littlebigplanet.com/images/assets/shared/screenshots/potc_screen9.jpg But with the water level just below the ground you're standing on (ie. so you're not in it) when the level starts, but you must go underwater to do some challenges, etc. | 2009-12-21 23:14:00 Author: alexbull_uk Posts: 1287 |
Something. | 2009-12-21 23:23:00 Author: chezhead Posts: 1063 |
Me , geddez and ghostrider already started ages ago on what will be a 3 part POTC series. I'll be publishing part 1 which is around 75% done then ghostrider and geddez will publish parts 2 and 3 respectively so look out for them in the near future. We just need the water and maybe a few bits and bobs from the pack. Weirdly when I looked at some of the screenshots on the littlebigplanet site the other day it looks like Mm are using some of the same ideas we are. Either they used some sort of psychic power to steal our ideas ( jk ) or it's a case of great minds think alike. Although I think our levels will be better than theirs. | 2009-12-21 23:56:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |

I plan to make an underwater Jellyfish that steals people's fish and chips... | 2009-12-22 00:07:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
Hmmm... good question. I doubt I use it in my current work in progress. However, I might try recreating one I did in the Beta with some extra goodies, extra rooms and more secrets. It was called The Underwater Cavern. Sort of an treasure hunt of sorts with underwater explosives. ...you know.. tranquil stuff. | 2009-12-22 00:13:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
Something with a Clownfish who... *insert idea*. | 2009-12-22 00:22:00 Author: Chump Posts: 1712 |
I'm going to flood "Aquanaut's Photo Op" to see how it looks with "real" water...and to get a feel for the new tools and such. Should be easier then starting from scratch, it's not a demanding level and it already has both clownfish and jellyfish...but sadly no fish and chips! | 2009-12-22 00:34:00 Author: fullofwin Posts: 1214 |
New idea! Your trapped it a large room, filled with water, and either the ceiling slowly comes down or the water raises gradually. Hurrah for being EVIL! | 2009-12-22 00:57:00 Author: bonner123 Posts: 1487 |
I'm putting it in a level I'm nearly finished with called "Frozen Mine Mayhem." It's sort of a throwback to the Mine story level with new puzzles, obstacles, and of course water. I just need to fill 'er up and I'm done! | 2009-12-22 01:24:00 Author: Sack-Jake Posts: 1153 |
Here's my plan: 1) Cry with joy and spend a few hours swimming/drowning 2) Try to think of an awesome level to build with water 3) Fail Oh yeah, baby. | 2009-12-22 03:05:00 Author: GreyMRP Posts: 588 |
Well few months ago, I started a little level with a tropical island / beach kind of theme, but I gave up as I didn't managed to make it look good with "fake glass water"... So with the pack coming, it will be the good occasion to go back working on it and to experiment everything about real water | 2009-12-22 03:17:00 Author: dajdaj03 Posts: 1486 |
I plan to make an underwater Jellyfish that steals people's fish and chips... NUUUUU NOT MY CHIPS! You steal my fish and chips, you have to steal your own life by messing with my awesomeness... Sounded better in my head... No seriously, I am going to make something with shweet underwater ruins and stuff. | 2009-12-22 03:42:00 Author: chezhead Posts: 1063 |
I'm working on a level that has water... and ships... I'm making it up as I go, lol. It looks brilliant so far. I started working on my boats this week, and they all look amazing. They are by far my best creations. I tried uploading them with my playstation, but it froze. guess you'll have to wait and see what they look like after I unveil my newest level. But to answer the question better, after I finish the level I was talking about I plan on making a level where you infultrate an underwater layer of some sort of evil villian. Its just an idea though. I have an Atlantis idea too that sounds amazing(in my head, anyway) that im excited to try out. | 2009-12-22 05:30:00 Author: RottenAvocado Posts: 319 |
I have been working on a level for a few months now that needs water, though it isn't a big part in the level it's kinda just there. I plan on finishing a few more of my current projects then I'll work on a level that will revolve more around water. | 2009-12-22 05:31:00 Author: TheFirstAvenger Posts: 787 |
I'm thinking it should be quite easy to simulate pools by locking the player in a hallway while trigging water level changes. As long as you control the camera well it should be easy to hide. | 2009-12-22 07:48:00 Author: Unknown User |
I plan to make a "Metal Gear of the Caribbean" level, with high tech pirate cannons, and ninja secret areas! | 2009-12-22 08:04:00 Author: Deviantgeek Posts: 386 |
hmm im gonna drink it | 2009-12-22 08:16:00 Author: rseah Posts: 2701 |
Guys, read my post "why water will suck". I'm afraid everything you wanted to do with it is not possible. Sorry | 2009-12-22 10:13:00 Author: steakontoast Posts: 10 |
I plan to make an underwater Jellyfish that steals people's fish and chips... Nooooooooo! i make a marine life level then | 2009-12-22 12:40:00 Author: Unknown User |
I plan to make an underwater Jellyfish that steals people's fish and chips... I'm actually really excited about it, so this will probably be done by the time you get back from your sunny holiday. Bet you're jealous now, huh? | 2009-12-22 13:07:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |

A big bloodbath will suit my Ghost of Sparta levels perfectly | 2009-12-22 20:15:00 Author: Kn0cked-0ut Posts: 562 |
I already made a level with it called AHH THE WATERS RISING!! and it got 100 plays after like 2 seconds!! (slight exageration may have been used) | 2009-12-22 21:32:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
I am planning on creating a pretty big warship. I'd actually been working on building the ship for a week straight, before Water arrived, but... It turns out that for every layer of metal, you need three layers of styrofoam. And look at that! My previous design is made completely out of metal! =D Yeah... to the scrapyard with ye. Now I'm currently going to go at it like a real ship. Build it out of segments and then "welding" them together. Building a proper bow is hard, by the way. It either tends to be too heavy or to light, compared to the stern. >__< Very annoying. | 2009-12-22 23:09:00 Author: Melfice Posts: 269 |
