I was thinking earlier and realised that the best thing about someone 'thanking' one of my posts if that it makes that thread so easy to get back to!

So, how about a quick link to all our posts? Now I know that is available by going into your stats, but it is rather long winded and there isn't much detail there when you find it.

Being able to see if there are any new posts in that thread it would be very helpful.

There's lots of ways around this and different solutions (new posts-last visited-all the threads you've posted in have a dot in the icon etc)

But I don't think any would be quite as effective as a section dedicated to this.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who likes to check on threads they've posted in and see if there's anything new. I just think a quick easy way to be able to do this would really help.

Check "Quick Links" - I've added a "My Threads/Replies" button that sorts by last post date. 2009-12-20 08:24:00

This is great thanks a lot.

However, at the minute it is done by two links. My threads/and posts.

Is it possible to put it all into one link? The way it is at the moment just means that we have to check two places to view everything we've posted instead of one. And let's face it, if you can't remember which threads you have started, you should probably get some sleep or something

Also, instead of it being sorted by whichever gets the latest post gets bumped to the top...how about just having it fixed in whatever order you put the posts in? Old threads that you once posted in but now don't really have any interest in will keep getting bumped up to the top the way it at the moment.

If it was just fixed in the order that you posted in it would be more organised and easier to keep track off. As surely if it is a thread you are interested in, the chances are you will keep posting in it anyway. (Other than level showcase, but even then, I think it would be easier to have to jump back a few pages for that particular thread as oppose to all the threads moving around you all of the time.

Just my take on it

It's in two separate links because I want it to be easy to differentiate between threads you've made and replies you've posted. If I smashed them both together, users would have less ways to filter the results - this way, both are an option.

(and, if you notice, clicking "replies" shows both threads you've made and threads you've replied in - you can just click that if you want both)

From what you described, the point of this feature is to find threads/posts that you've made that have new replies that you haven't read yet, am I right? If so, then sorting by last post ensures you'll see those threads with new replies first. Plus, this almost guarantees users won't be reviving old threads, because the threads they see will have already been posted in fairly recently.

Just noticed that 'replies' has both in, so that's cool

I understand what you mean. I guess both ways have their pro's and cons. The unfortunate things with the way it currently is, is say you post in a long living thread...(one of the games in general chat or something) and then later have no real interest in it. This thread will keep getting bumped on your list even if you don't really have any interest in. If you make a few posts in a few threads like this..it could start filling your 'replies' page quite quickly.

Anyway. Thanks for this. It's something I've wanted for a long time but never gotten around to mentioning it!
